The News on the Israeli Street
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
Another photo of the same car. Note the dents:
A young family (father, mother, 3 small children aged 3, 5, 9) were driving yesterday near Shilo when they were violently assaulted. The windshield of their car was shattered, and both sides of their car were dented with “rocks”.
Fearing for their lives, the father took his gun out and fired a shot in the air to frighten away the terrorists. He succeeded.
Subsequently, the family drove to a police station to report what happened.
Guess what?
The police told the father to turn in his gun and that they were going to place him under investigation for discharging a firearm.
Unbelievable.
This is precisely why so many Palestinian terror attacks in Judea and Samaria go unreported. Jewish community members end up being the targets of the police instead of terrorist perpetrators.
The daily Corona (Covid-19) update as of 8 am . . .
There are 193,374 confirmed cases—an increase of 2,445 since this time yesterday
140,751 of these confirmed cases have recovered—an increase of 3,971
668 are in critical condition—an increase of 15
159 of the most critically ill are on ventilators—a decrease of 10
1,285 have died–an increase of 12
There are now 52,623 active Corona cases in Israel.
It would appear that the numbers this morning are trending downward, but that is merely appearance. For some unknown reason, the Health Ministry did not release any data at midnight last night, and the number of people tested yesterday dropped significantly.
In fact, what has happened is that the IDF has now set up tent hospitals outside of hospitals to handle the Corona overflow.

Even worse, Hevra Kadisha (the organization that handles burials in Israel) has set up a refrigerated container outside of Rambam Hospital in Haifa to hold the dead. The organization said yesterday that more such containers will be set up around the country in coming weeks.
In other Corona news . . .
**The clash between the orthodox and the demonstrators on the left heightened yesterday with politicians on all sides weighing in.
As you know, that clash is all about how the orthodox are being restricted from praying in synagogues while the “left” is free to demonstrate in the streets.
Transportation Minister Miri Regev rightly commented: “It would be a sign of disgrace to the Jewish and democratic state if Jews were prohibited from praying in synagogues.”
**Only 38 Jews were allowed to ascent the Har HaBeit (Temple Mount) yesterday because the police suddenly began to enforce the 1 km rule.
In other words, any Jew who lives more than 1 km away from the site was prohibited from going up.
What a joke! Suddenly the police started enforcing the 1 km rule . . . on the Har HaBeit of all places?
A huge new natural gas consortium . . .
In what can only be described as a major development, Egypt and Jordan have agreed to buy $30 billion dollars worth of natural gas from Israel.
As part of that agreement, the energy ministers from Italy, Greece, Jordan, Cyprus, and the PLO joined Israel in creating the East Med project which will eventually (estimate 8 years) take Israeli natural gas to Europe via a 2000 km long underwater pipeline.
About those F-35s . . .
Your humble servant is sure that you dear readers have been wondering why the U.S. is selling F-35s to countries like Israel and the UAE.
I have often mused that this 5th generation fighter would not be sold unless the U.S. had a 6th generation fighter being kept under wraps.
Apparently that is the case.
Yesterday, the US Air Force revealed that a 6th generation aircraft has been developed as part of the NGAD program. However, the Air Force did not reveal anything about the aircraft–not even the company that built and is testing prototypes.

Rebecca Ram Goes On The Attack
Try to wrap your mind around Rebecca Ram’s saga.
Eight years ago in 2012, Californian Rebecca Ram immigrated to Israel and enlisted in the IDF as a chayal boded (lone soldier). She was assigned to the Education Corps–a noncombat position.
She left the IDF in 2015 after her service was completed.
You may remember that on June 1, 2018, Razan Al-Najjar a Palestinian paramedic, was shot and killed along the Gaza border while she was participating in violent attacks on IDF soldiers.
Last year in 2019, Rebecca’s photo was posted by BDS “activist” Sunir Nepal as being the person who shot Al-Nazzar.
That posting went viral on the virulently anti-Israel BDS network. Rebecca immediately began receiving numerous death threats and other intimidating messages.
Yesterday, Rebecca filed a $6 million dollar defamation suit against Nepal for creating the post and the BDS movement for disseminating it. The suit is being handled by Shurat HaDin, the wonderful legal organization headed by Nitzana Darshan-Leitner.
Shurat issued this statement yesterday: “It seems that we are returning to the protocols of the elders of Zion and the antisemitic blood libels of the past. Rebecca and her family were condemned and threatened with murder just because she was a soldier in the IDF. The war on haters of Israel has also taken a legal toll, and Rebecca’s lawsuit is at the forefront of the fight against the global boycott movement against the State of Israel. The BDS activists will know that they themselves may be personally indebted for their anti-Zionist activities and even pay a high price. “
Kolakevod to Rebecca and Shurat HaDin. OneIsrael wishes them the best of luck as they pursue Nepal and BDS.
