The Corona Quote of the Day

“It is a pity that we had to wait for about 50 Corona deaths a day to make a simple decision . . . to test incoming passengers. Terrible foolishness. The Netanyahu government’s oversight regarding Ben Gurion Airport has created a huge hole through which thousands of carriers of coronavirus and its mutations have entered, while life here is being shut down.”

Naftali Bennett discussing the ridiculous situation in Israel whereby incoming passengers on flights did not need to be tested for Corona and proceeded to spread the virus–while at the same time the Israeli economy and society has been locked down to avoid spreading the virus.

The News on the Israeli Street

Khaybar, Khaybar, Khaybar Ya Yehud! . . .

Khaybar, Khaybar, Khaybar–This will happen to the Jews!

This was the chant of Israeli-Arabs in Umm Al Fahm today in what was supposed to be a protest against murder and violence in Arab society.

However, the protest quickly turned into a violent anti-Israel demonstration which morphed quickly into an anti-Jewish riot.

As you may not know, the battle of Khaybar took place in 628 between Muslims and Jews in the northwestern part of what is now Saudi Arabia. It ended in the surrender of the Jewish tribes of Arabia to Muhammad’s forces.

At long last . . .

In a decision that should have been made decades ago, Education Minister announced today that the abominable organization B’Tselem will no longer be allowed into Israeli schools.

For years now, B’Tselem has gone into Israeli high schools to tell high school seniors that Israel practices apartheid, and that high school seniors should not serve in the IDF.

And Israel has done nothing about it.

Education Minister Yoav Galant had this to say today:

“The Ministry of Education, under my leadership, has hoisted the flag of Zionist, Jewish and democratic values, and it acts . . . to encourage graduates of the education system to enlist to the IDF, Israel’s protector and sole guarantor of existence. We will not allow organizations that call the State of Israel an ‘Apartheid State’ to lecture to students about to be drafted into the IDF. I instructed the director-general of the ministry and the directors of the districts and divisions to ban B’Tselem from entering any educational institution.”

TODAY’S BLOG:

Gantz Establishes Palestinian Facts On The Ground In Area C

In case we have all forgotten, Benny Gantz–head of the rapidly disappearing Blue and White Party–is the Defense Minister of Israel. Part of his responsibilities include overseeing what goes on in Area C of Judea and Samaria.

You will recall that Area C is an area that comprises about 60% of the land area of Judea and Samaria and is the Area that is supposedly under complete Israeli military and civil administration. Because the Area was idiotically never annexed to Israel, the Defense Minister has almost complete say as to what goes on there.

As we suspected he would do when Netanyahu turned over the Defense Ministry to Blue and White, Gantz is now using his power to promote Palestinian construction there while demolishing Jewish community construction in the same area.

Six weeks ago, it was announced that PM Netanyahu was going to support the “regulation” of fledgling communities in Area C. In layman’s terms, this means providing water, electricity, security, and even medical services to these outpost communities.

But regulation has gone nowhere because Defense Minister Benny Gantz immediately came out and rejected the idea. Instead of empowering Jewish communities, Gantz has turned his last two months in office into an attempt to empower Palestinians instead.

This past week alone, Gantz approved Palestinian plans to:

*expand the Palestinian settlement of Walaja near Bethlehem

*expand the Palestinian town of Hizma near Pisgat Ze’ev

*construct a new hotel in Beit Jala

*construct Palestinian “agricultural buildings” in Area C

In point of fact, expanding Walaja and Hizma would seem to be an attempt on Gantz’s part to create territorial continuity between Palestinian communitiesprecisely the kind of continuity that leads to the Palestinian and international delusion that Israel will one day abandon Area C.

Allowing the construction of Palestinian agricultural buildings is kowtowing to the European Union which funds most illegal Palestinian construction in Area C and which again demanded today that Israel raze all “settlements.”

Aside from establishing Palestinian facts on the ground, Gantz is also setting himself up to travel the world on the speaker circuit criticizing Israel once he leaves office.
