Quote of the Day
“I won’t ask permission from the United Arab List to sing Hatikvah. Whoever hesitates when it comes to the Temple Mount will hesitate when it comes to any area of Israel.”
Knesset member Amichai Chikli, commenting on the controversy surrounding his small group singing Hatikvah on the Temple Mount on Tisha B’Av.
Chickli of course is absolutely correct.
Graphic of the Day
At 3:54 am, incoming missiles sounded for Israeli communities between Rosh Hanikra on the Lebanese border and Nahariya. Residents on the ground report 4 explosions–all of which detonated in “open spaces” or at sea.
What has been the IDF response? Two artillery shells, and this absurd statement from our so-called “Defense Minister” Benny Gantz:
“The State of Israel will act in the face of any threat to its sovereignty and its citizens and will respond in accordance with its interests, at the relevant time and place. We will not allow the social, economic and political crisis in Lebanon to become a security threat to Israel. I call on the international community to act to restore stability to Lebanon.”
Two artillery shells is “acting in the face” of 4 missiles shot at our citizens?
And isn’t it absurd how those on the left such as Gantz always attribute attacks on Israel to “social, economic, and political” reasons? The simple fact is that the missiles were fired by terrorists who want to kill Jews.
And anyway, what does the loony Gantz think he is going to do to ameliorate the social, economic, and political crises in Lebanon? This is the same stupid thinking that makes people like Gantz think that somehow terror centers in places like PLO territory, Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria will be pacified if only Israel and others throw enough money their way which will create a peaceful society, build a healthy economy, and instill a humane political system.
Horse manure. Pure, unadulterated, horse manure.
The News on the Israeli Street
Corona cases continue to skyrocket . . .
1,372 Israelis tested positive for Corona yesterday bringing to 7,924 active cases in the country. 62 Israelis are now in serious condition with 10 on ventilators. 6,451 have died.
Palestinian terror continues unabated . . .
While the Muslims continue to express outrage over the singing of Hatikvah the other day on the Temple Mount by a group of about 10 men, women, and children, this is the scene today hanging from the arches beside the Kipat HaSela (Dome of the Rock):
Can you believe this? Where is the international outrage? Where are the police? Why is this incitement to terror allowed?
Backtracking Bennett . . .
Just two days after PM Bennett signed off on Jews going to the Temple Mount on Tisha B’Av–and not commenting on the singing and praying that occurred there, he is singing a different tune this morning:
“The intention was to provide freedom for Jews to go to the Mount not for them to have freedom of worship.”

What an amazing statement. Muslims can practice their religion freely on the Har HaBeit, but Jews are not to be allowed freedom of worship at the holiest place in Judaism.
Outrageous, disgusting, nauseating: there are not enough words for Bennett’s statement.
By the way, the Temple Mount is completely closed to Jews today, tomorrow and Thursday so that Muslims can have complete freedom to celebrate the “Feast of the Sacrifice.”
Incredible.

“Open, Respectful, Effective”:
FM Lapid’s Outrageous Analysis This Morning
This morning we had Foreign Minister Yair Lapid crowing that:
“Within 5 weeks, Israel’s foreign relations have completely changed. Together with Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Defense Minister Bnei Gantz we are having a completely different dialogue with the international community. It is an open, respectful and effective dialogue. It has already dramatically improved our foreign relations contributing to Israeli security . . . “
Lapid was speaking a few weeks in advance of the opening of a nonstop flight from Ben Gurion Airport to Rabat Morocco–a flight that Lapid himself plans to be on.
Hmm . . . let’s see.
What have Bennett, Gantz, and Lapid accomplished in the last 4+weeks? What has changed?
–Israel has decided to deplete our national lake, the Kineret (Sea of Galilee), in order to give the Jordanians more water.
–Israel has decided to allow thousands more Jordanian and Palestinian potential terrorist workers into Israel and hundreds of thousands of more Jordanian imports into Palestinian areas.
–Israel has kowtowed to the Biden Administration on everything from ending the mini-war with Gaza to Bennett’s backtracking statement on the Temple Mount this morning.
–Israel has apparently decided to make a trade agreement with the European Union which excludes any marketing to or from Judea and Samaria.
Oh yes, and Israel’s nonstop air service to Morocco was accomplished while Netanyahu was prime minister as were all of the other links to Arab countries that Lapid is raving about.
And what has Israel gotten in return for these concessions?
Absolutely nothing.
King Abdullah is raging about Israel changing the status quo on the Temple Mount. The Biden Administration has withdrawn support for Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, insists on opening a consulate for Palestinians in Jerusalem, and is renewing funding to the PLO and UNRWA. The European Union is continuing to fund illegal Palestinian building in Area C while supporting boycotts against Israel.
Yes, Israel has an open . . . and effective dialogue with the international community–they feel openly free to make any demands on Israel that they want, and Israel is effectively kowtowing to each one.
Respectful?
What a joke.
