Please Consider Donating To OneIsrael
Our annual Rosh Hashana-Simhat Torah fundraising drive has now started. Please consider donating to OneIsrael so that we can continue to get the word out about what is happening here in Israel. Thank you for your consideration!
The Sickening Quote of the Day
“Israel has no desire to disrupt the routine of Palestinian life and we are ready to bring about economic and civilian relief and continue to strengthen coordination with the Palestinian Authority. This is true in Judea and Samaria and it is also true in the Gaza Strip.”
“Defense Minister” Benny Gantz speaking yesterday.
Say what?
Israel has no desire to disrupt the routine of Palestinian life in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza? Shouldn’t our Defense Minister be focused on the fact that the routine of Israelis in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza has been utterly destroyed by nonstop Palestinian terrorism?
It is simply disgusting how this Coalition government cares only about the protecting the routine of life for those who are trying to kill us, and nothing about protecting the routine of life of our own citizens.
The News on the Israeli Street
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
Suffice it to say that the always violent terrorist attacks that occur in Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem, and along the Gaza border have intensified in the wake of prisoner escape from Gilboa Prison. Two of those terrorists remain at large.
In Jerusalem:
*The above attack took place yesterday on the Mount of Olives where an Israeli family was attacked by Palestinian terrorists. The father who was driving the car feared that his family would be killed so he put his arm out the window and fired his gun upward in the air to frighten the attackers.
The result of this attack? The terrorists escaped, and the police took the man’s gun and detained him for questioning.
*In what has become a nightly occurrence, another bus was attacked between Maaleh Adumim and Jerusalem:
The bus drivers on this route are now regularly refusing to drive because of the lack of security provided by the Israel Police.
*The two young men wounded in the stabbing attack at near the Central Bus Station two days ago were released from the hospital this morning; unfortunately, the terrorist survived being shot and remains anesthetized but is expected to recover (so he can go stab more Israelis).
In Judea and Samaria:
A Palestinian terrorist attempted to stab soldiers at the north hitchhiking area at the Gush Etzion Junction. No Israelis were physically wounded. The terrorist was killed.
Palestinian terrorists started fires at three points in the Givot Forest.
Palestinian terrorists attacked buses on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road south of the Karmi Tzur Junction, at the entrance to the Jewish community of Bat Ayin, near Talmon (Line 149), at Hizma (passenger hit by shrapnel), between the Karmi Tzur Junction and Beit Omer (line 382), at Anatot, on Road 465 near Neve Yair, on Road 55 near the Azzun Junction, on Mt. Hevron east of Beit Haggai (line 254),between Kiryat Arba and Hevron, between Nahal Kana and Emanat Emanuel, and near Muhams.
Palestinian terrorists attacked IDF positions between Hevron and Kiryat Arba and at Al-Fawwar.
Palestinian terrorists attacked Israelis between Hermesh and Dotan, on the Halhul Bridge, at Tarkumiya, on the Jerusalem-Gush Etzion Road near the Tunnels, at Neve Tzuf, Migdal Oz, Jania, and at another 20 locations.
Palestinian terrorists again opened fire on IDF soldiers at the Jalama Checkpoint outside of Jenin. Again, the terrorists escaped.

10,784 more Israelis were confirmed yesterday as having Covid-19. There are now 84,613 active cases in the country.
1,194,783 Israelis have contracted Corona since the pandemic began.
The positive test rate yesterday was 6.09%.
662 Israelis are in serious condition with another 195 in critical condition on ventilators.
7,438 Israelis have died–an increase of 32 since yesterday.
Vaccinations:
6,053,346 Israelis have received 1 dose.
5,561,154 Israelis have received 2 doses.
2,953,241 Israelis have received 3 doses.
Some fascinating Corona statistics from the month of August . . .
518 Israelis died from Covid-19 in August.
213 of these people were not vaccinated at all.
269 of these people had received two doses.
36 of these people had received three doses.
Obviously, having gotten two or three doses of vaccine is no guarantee that you will not die from Corona if you get the virus.
All for naught? . . .
It appears this morning that Egyptian President Sisi is coming away with nothing from his meeting a few days ago with PM Bennett.
As we wrote, Sisi was trying to portray himself as the peacemaker so that the Biden Administration would sign off on sales of military equipment to Cairo.
The Biden Administration has apparently decided that there will be no such sales . . . unless . . . Sisi takes steps to improve human rights in Egypt.
More fallout for Ben and Jerry’s . . .
It was announced yesterday that the U.S. state of New Jersey has decided it will divest from Ben and Jerry’s and its owner, the Unilever Corporation if the company does not reverse its boycott of Judea and Samaria in the next 90 days.
In doing so, it is following in the footsteps of the state of Arizona.
Kolakevod to both states!
TODAY’S BLOG:
Tsom Kal and Gmar Chatima Tovah!
As you may not know, Yom Kippur begins at sundown tonight in Israel and lasts until sundown tomorrow night. The country will completely close down around 2 pm today and by 6 pm, there will be no more cars on roads anywhere.
Those who keep the holiday will not eat or drink for 24 hours and will fill synagogues.
Your humble servant will not be blogging on this holiest day of the Jewish year and wishes for you a Tsom Kal (Easy Fast), and that Gmar Chatima Tovah (May you be inscribed in the Book of Life for Good).
OneIsrael will return on Friday.
