The holidays continue here in Israel as Sukkot begins tonight at sundown. Already, sukkot can be seen on apartment balconies and inside public businesses such as supermarkets and banks, and in people’s homes such as ours.
Families will eat (and some will sleep) in their sukka for the next seven nights remembering the journey of the Israelites from Egypt through the desert to the promised land. We hope you have a very happy holiday and invite you to come to our sukka!

A Follow-up To Yesterday’s Blog
The IDF soldier who allegedly “brutally shoved” a provocateur of so-called “Combatants for Peace” was issued a reprimand a day after he was thrown under the bus by the IDF spokesman.
This reprimand was on the basis of a video (which OneIsrael posted yesterday) showing the provocateur tumbling to the ground after the shove. As we noted yesterday, there is apparently no video of what came before the shove.
Amazingly, the IDF is once again relying on edited video supplied to it by a ultra-left wing organization that only exists to undermine Israel. Obviously, whatever video was taken by the leftists prior to the shove which according to IDF soldiers on the scene would have showed the lefties taunting, cursing, and even assaulting our soldiers is nowhere to be found.

Palestinian terrorists attacked 3 buses near Beit Haggai on Mt. Hevron, another bus on Road 55 between Punduk and Kedumin, another bus on Road 458 at Duma, and yet another bus near Tekoa. In the last attack, the driver was wounded by shrapnel.
Palestinian terrorists attacked Israeli motorists with “rocks” and Molotovs at Genia, Talmon, Halhul, on the Hevron-Gush Etzion Road, Luban a-Sharqiya, and numerous other places.
Palestinian terrorists attacked IDF soldiers near Hizma, at Psagot, on Road 465, on Road 446, at the Jalama Crossing, and between Kiryat Arba and Hevron.

What Will This Government Give Away Next?
Yesterday, your humble servant wrote that our Coalition Government should be renamed our “Concession Government”. No matter which direction you turn, it is making concessions whether it be to the Biden Administration, Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Gaza, or the PLO in Ramallah.
This morning has brought news that the Concession Government has decided to give in to Sweden.
As you may not remember, Israel cut off relations with the Swedes back in 2014 after Sweden recognized the country of “Palestine.” In the meantime, former Swedish PM Margot Wallstrom was declared persona non grata here because of the never-ending flow of anti-Israel comments flowing out of her mouth.
Now, the former boxer turned Israel Foreign Minister, Yair Lapid, has announced that the “crisis with Sweden is over” and relations are restored.
Is it because Sweden has backtracked on its Palestine recognition?
Of course not.
It is because Israel has dropped its objection to Sweden’s recognition of Palestine.
What did Israel receive in return giving up its dignity and self-respect? Practically nothing, except press conference mumbo jumbo from the current Swedish FM that “Israel is the nation state of the Jewish people”–which is what Sweden has said all along.
Oh, and there’s more. Israel is now going to be able to participate in the Holocaust Remembrance Forum in Malmo.
Wow. What a gift from Sweden.
But the concession to Sweden pales in comparison to the concession that Israel has made and is making to the European Union.
A devastating article in Arutz Sheva today describes how the EU has now budgeted 3,000,000,000 (billion) Euros between now and 2030 to establish a Palestinian state–mainly through illegal building in Area C of Judea and Samaria.
According to the information provided, the EU has divided Area C Judea and Samaria up into construction “parcels” and is doling out money for illegal construction by the truckload.
The article notes as examples that “France has been allotted the area between Efrat and Tekoa, and Belgium has received eastern Gush Etzion.” Parts of Jerusalem have even been handed out among the Europeans.
Israel, as we have long noted, is conceding Area C to the Europeans and the PLO by doing nothing to stop the illegal Palestinian construction and everything to stop or freeze Jewish construction.
Concessions, concessions, and more concessions.
Your humble servant can only wonder what more this government is ready to give away; what concessions will be next?
