Another Moronic Quote from Our Coalition (Concession) Government
“The crime on the Arab street did not grow out of nothing but was created from a long process . . . of the State of Israel’s neglecting Arab communities and cities.”
Minister of Internal Security Omer Bar Lev, speaking at the “Galilee in the Center” conference in Akko today.
Why is it that everyone feels like they have to treat Arabs–whether they be Israeli Arabs or Palestinian Arabs–like infants who have no responsibility or capability of taking take care of themselves?
Statements like Bar Lev’s are nothing more than the standard liberal hogwash that permeates Western governments.
The State of Israel is not responsible for Israeli-Arab crime. Israeli-Arabs are responsible for Israeli-Arab crime.
The News on the Israeli Street
The daily Corona update . . .
1,794 more Israelis were confirmed “yesterday” as having Covid-19. There are now 22,564 active cases in the country.
1,311,295 Israelis have contracted Corona since the pandemic began.
The positive test rate yesterday was 1.68%.
408 Israelis are in serious condition with another 170 in critical condition on ventilators.
7,959 Israelis have died–7 since yesterday.
Vaccinations:
6,193,422 Israelis have received one dose.
5,691,236 Israelis have received two doses.
3,791,334 Israelis have received three doses.
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
A Palestinian terrorist carried out a bulldozer attack this morning between the Qalandiya Checkpoint and Al-Ram. A policeman was badly wounded, the terrorist was shot and taken to a hospital.
Palestinian terrorists attacked IDF forces near Azzun (one terrorist was shot and wounded) and at Silwad (a terrorist was shot in the leg).
Palestinian terrorists attacked Israeli buses with “rocks” and Molotovs on the Gush Etzion Road between Beit Omer and Karmi Tzur, at Amos, and at Lupine Aia.
Palestinian terrorists attacked Israeli motorists on Road 55, at Luban A-Sharqiya northeast of Ramallah, at Oz, east of the Etzion Industrial Park, near Tekoa, at several spots on the Trans-Judea Highway, Al-Aruv, between Kiryat Arba and Hevron, beside Hawara, and at about a dozen other locations.
Is it any surprise? . . .
The Hamas terrorist who killed Staff Sgt. Barel Shmueli was “released” by Hamas today. If you may recall, as soon as he shot Barel, he immediately ran to Hamas headquarters and requested protection.

Hamas then “detained” (aka protected) him for a month before letting him go today.
We at OneIsrael can only hope that his release will be “short-lived“, and that justice will catch up to him quickly.
More Israeli young people released . . .
In the past few years, there has been a plague of police arrests of young men in Judea and Samaria.
Whether we are talking about the 30 young men who were all arrested and kept in isolation for more than a month or the five men who were all arrested at Yitzhar the other day, or those men arrested in a myriad of other cases, they all have two things in common.
First, the police have gone off the deep end in trying to prosecute young Jewish men.
Second, virtually all the arrests have been thrown out and those arrested have been released.
We had another case of this today when a Jerusalem District Court threw out the arrests of 4 young men who were arrested on charges of inciting to violence by dancing and singing at a Jerusalem area wedding.
Of course, the Jerusalem District Attorney’s Office immediately announced it would appeal the District Court’s decision.
Speaking of overzealous . . .
Now that the Jerusalem Police have successfully gotten a court to bar Jews from silent prayer on the Temple Mount, they have decided to go after noted Temple Mount activist Yehuda Glick whom your humble servant happens to know quite well.
What are they going after Glick about?
His actions on the Temple Mount in December 2019 and February 2020.
Yes, you read that correctly.
What is it that he is accused of? Glick has no idea. Perhaps he bowed toward the Kipat HaSela, perhaps he said a silent prayer, perhaps he carried a Torah in his coat pocket–who knows what “crime” the police will accuse him of?

Yet Another Absurd Investigation
Yesterday, another brawl broke out at the Damascus Gate in the Old City. In recent weeks, throngs of self-identified Palestinians have attacked orthodox Jews attempting to enter the Old City through the Gate.
In response, since the Police have done little to thwart these attacks, the Jews have begun defending themselves and this has resulted in the aforementioned brawls.
Yesterday, the Police finally acted when another barrage of “rocks” was thrown both at Jews and at them.
In a video (which has been taken down), one Police officer is seen chasing away a rock thrower even as the rock thrower was still trying to strike him. At one point, the officer uses his baton, and the rock thrower runs away.
Guess what?
The Police Investigations Department (PID) announced this afternoon that it is investigating the police officer on “suspicion of assault.”
Just unbelievable.
Our soldiers cannot defend themselves without being hauled before investigation units, and now Police find themselves in the same boat.
The basic question is how have the Military Prosecutor’s Office and Police Investigations Department been allowed to become so out of control?
