Happy Chanukah!
The 2nd Candle Lighting of the Evening
In the top photo, Brig. Gen. Roi Zweig lights the second candle at the Tomb; in the bottom photo, the view from inside. As the candles were being lit, dozens of Jewish worshipers arrived and were met by hundreds of Palestinian rioters throwing “rocks” and Molotovs.
The Quote of the Day
“The destruction of the regime in Jerusalem is the greatest goal before us and the greatest goal we are striving for. We will not back off from the annihilation of Israel by one millimeter even if we are torn to pieces. The fake Zionist regime must disappear, and it will surely disappear, God willing, and the Islamic world will celebrate this day.”

Has there ever been any doubt what the goal of the Iranian nuclear weapons program is?

TODAY’S BLOG
Absolutely Packed With People
Absolutely packed with people.
You will recall that yesterday that we wrote here that Israel has closed its borders once again stopping all foreign citizens (excepts ones with exemptions) from coming in.
However, this stoppage is just one-way.
There is no stoppage of foreign citizens leaving Israel or for Israelis leaving Israel. Hence, the photo above which mostly consists of Israelis leaving for points unknown..
In any case, now that the airport is locked down to foreign citizens who want to come to Israel by our panicked government, it turns out that no one seems to know how many people in the country actually have the Omicron South African variant.
The number seems to be either 2, 7, or 10 depending on who is providing the information. The two definite cases are two cardiologists, one of whom just returned from a medical conference in London and apparently infected another cardiologist here in Israel. Both cardiologists are fully vaccinated with boosters, and neither doctor has serious problems. The GSS says that around 24o people have been in contact with these two.
Unrelated to Omicron, 538 Israelis were confirmed with Corona yesterday with a total of 8,195 having died since the pandemic began–13 in the last two days.
By the way, only 3% of children aged 5-11 have been vaccinated. As we predicted, Israeli parents are loathe to vaccinate their children.
And so it goes on the Corona front on this second day of Chanukah.
