Outrageous Quote of the Day
“There is no suspicion that justifies opening of an investigation against the police officers who infiltrated the telephones of Netanyahu’s advisors Yonatan Orich and Ofer Golan without a warrant.”
Israel Police statement (Department of Internal Affairs)
Policemen without a warrant illegally hack into the phones of anyone they want to, including the advisors of a prime minister, and they should not be investigated?
What a joke.
It’s almost as big a joke as the denials coming from all sides that they knew about the illegal spying. Justice Minister Gideon Sa’ar: “My office knew nothing about this.” The State Attorney’s Office: “It was done without our knowledge.”
That same State Attorney’s Office, the group prosecuting former PM Netanyahu, requested a delay in his trial today so that it could respond to the spyware situation. The Court has approved the postponement until Sunday at 2:00 pm at which time the government will have to respond to the illegal ways that evidence against Netanyahu and the other defendants was obtained.
The News on the Israeli Street
The daily Corona update . . .
The numbers yesterday:
43,852 new cases of Corona were diagnosed yesterday bringing to 318,291 the number of active cases in the country.
The positive test rate was 24.1%.
1,161 are in serious condition; 355 in critical.
9,226 Israelis have died according to the Health Ministry database–18 since yesterday.
The “strange” Corona juxtapositions . . .
There are about 9 million people living in Israel.
The total number of people who have gotten Corona: 3,262,672
The total number of people who have received vaccinations:
1 dose: 6,693,602
2 doses: 6,106,814
3 doses: 4,450,249
4 doses: 673,047
It is impossible to draw conclusions from these numbers because the Health Ministry has not detailed how many unvaccinated people got Corona, how many people with only 1 dose got it, or how many people with 2-3-4 doses got it.
Nevertheless, the numbers are interesting.

That reunification has been a main source of terror.
About Joe Biden, PM Bennett’s “stalwart friend of Israel” . . .
Last year, President Biden nominated Sarah Margon for the position of Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor.
Margon is a “progressive Jew”. In today’s parlance, this means that a person is Jewish but does not support Israel.
During Margon’s confirmation hearings last September, Idaho Senator James Risch asked her repeatedly about some of her social media postings, primarily this one from November 19, 2018 in support of Airbnb’s boycott of Israel:
“Airbnb will remove ads from Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. Thank you, Airbnb, for a good example of leadership. Other companies should follow in your footsteps.”
This led to a heated exchange in which she denied supporting the BDS movement, but Risch was having none of it:
“With all due respect, ma’am, I do not believe you. Saying it over and over again just does not jive with your actions and does not make it true”.
As of yesterday, sources reported that Margon’s nomination is “dead in the water” and will not be approved.
Kolakekvod to Senator Risch!
Her nomination was yet another demonstration of President Biden’s lack of support for Israel.
TODAY’S BLOG
Palestinian Terror In The Last 24 Hours
As we reported yesterday, Palestinian terrorists had been carrying out daily and nightly drive-by shootings.
Today at noon, elements of the IDF, Shin Bet, and Border Police cornered the terror cell in downtown Shechem, blocked off their exit, and opened fired on the armed terrorists. All three were killed.
Click here to see people scrambling and hear the gunfire.
It turns out that the three were members of the Al-Aqsa Brigades of Fatah, the PLO’s military wing which is responsible to the same PLO Chairman Mahmoud Abbas who has become best friends with our so-called “Defense” Minister Benny Gantz.
Elsewhere in Judea and Samaria (courtesy of Rescue Without Boundaries SSF):
Palestinian terrorists using rocks and Molotovs attacked Israeli motorists on Road 55 between Azzun and Karnei Shomron:
Due to the large number of attacks emanating from Azzun, all roads in and out of the Palestinian settlement were closed by the IDF.
Palestinian terrorists using rocks and Molotovs also attacked Israeli motorists on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road north of the Tin Junction Bypass, between Itamar and Beit Furik, and at Deir Istia among other places.
Palestinian terrorists using rocks and Molotovs attacked Israeli buses near Ma’ale Amos, Hizma, Mitzpe Jericho, and at Huwara near Einbus Square.
In short, it was just a normal day in Judea and Samaria.
