Weekends have become a nightmare for Israelis wanted to visit nature in Area C of Judea and Samaria–our ancestral Jewish homeland and an area supposedly under complete Israeli administrative and military control.
According to a report yesterday: “A traditional family vacation at a quiet and pastoral nature site in Samaria, has turned into a completely different experience that includes entering a hostile Arab area with nationalist chants, PLO flags hovering around every corner and even actual violent attacks against Jewish travelers.”
Obviously the influx of Palestinians is being organized by the PLO which is trying to establish “facts on the ground.” PA Minister for the Struggle for Settlements, Moed Sheban, had this to say to the group you see in the first photo above: “Trips and vacations at natural sites are an important and central way in the fight against occupation and settlements. They strengthen the Arab presence in these places, and halt the colonial plans of the settlers on the ground.”
Of course, one factor in the PLO onslaught is the virtual surrender of Area C by Israel.
After all, what do the Palestinians see except a governmental campaign to vilify Jewish community members and the daily razing of young Jewish community outposts.
They also have seen a concerted effort by the current government to deny even the rudimentary amenities of life such as electricity and water to small Jewish communities.
However, yesterday, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Defense held a meeting during which they agreed on “the wording of the order that will allow the Minister of Defense to connect at least thirty localities and outposts in Judea and Samaria, through an order of the commander of the Central Command.”
Of course, just because the Ministries agreed on this does not mean that our current Minister of “Defense” Benny Gantz will actually issue the order. After all, Gantz almost always comes down on the side of the Palestinians–and will certainly not issue the order if instructed not to do so by the Biden Administration.
And so, the battle for Israel’s ancestral heartland, Area C of Judea and Samaria, rages on.
