Mike Pence visits Hevron
Former U.S. President Mike Pence, one of the best friends of Israel, has been in Israel for the last few days. Yesterday, he visited Hevron and prayed at the Cave of the Patriarchs. He was accompanied by Itamar Ben Gvir, and Hevron community members Baruch Marzel and Hillel Horowitz. His advice to the community: “Be strong!”
The Sarit Shneur Race
Who was Sarit Shneur? A 19-year-old IDF soldier from Shoham in the 414th Battalion who was murdered in a terrorist attack at her base in Netzarim on October 24, 2003. The two-day race is held every year in her honor and traces the route from Shoham to Nahal Oz:

The News on the Israeli Street
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
Two days ago we reported violent riots in the Palestinian settlement of Silat al-Harithiya as IDF troops destroyed a floor of a house belonging to one of the terrorists who killed Yehuda Dimentman. What we did not report because it only came to light yesterday is that two officers were wounded in a ramming attack there. The car used in the attack:
Palestinian terrorists attacked Israelis with “rocks” and Molotovs on Road 60 at Luban a-Sharqiya, between Anatot and Hizma, and throughout Gush Etzion.
Palestinian terrorists attacked Israeli buses on Road 60 near Umm Batin and near Ma’ale Adumim.
The daily Corona update . . .
4,204 new cases of Corona were confirmed yesterday bringing to 43,839 the total number of Israelis with an active case of Covid-19. One of the people who tested positive yesterday is former PM Netanyahu.
The positive test rate was 7.78%.
398 Israelis are in serious condition in hospitals with another 197 in critical condition on ventilators.
10,322 Israelis have died of Corona–0 for the last two days (but obviously this number is because of non-reporting by the Health Ministry).

Excellent Population News From Judea And Samaria!
Please note that the following two graphics are taken from “West Bank Jewish Population Stats” pamphlet updated to January 30, 2022 by the “West Bank Population Stats Team”: Yaakov Katz, Baruch Gordon, and Sharona Eshet-Kohen.
The population numbers come from the Israel Population Registry at the Ministry of the Interior.
OneIsrael strongly recommends that you sign up to receive this information at: WestBankJewishPopulationStats.com
For the next few days, we will be giving elements of this annual report in order to familiarize you with the Jewish communities of Judea and Samaria.
In one sense the above graphic is self-explanatory–a 70,000 person increase in the last 5 years. This is excellent information.
But it could be much better.
The fact is that most of this growth is internal. Because of the virtual freeze on construction, there has not been a significant movement of Israelis into Judea and Samaria. Were the freeze to be lifted, we would almost certainly have seen that 70,000 number doubled or even tripled.
The bottom line is that Jews are firmly rooted in Israel’s ancestral home, and are not going anywhere.
Also note below:
You can do the math: just over 820,000 Jews living in area that some like to call the “West Bank.”
Any way you look at it, this is wonderful news!
