In the face of a governmental lack of immediate action, the mayors of a number of cities have issued directives to freeze construction involving Palestinian workers and to set up additional security around educational and governmental entities.

Update 11:15 pm Israel time

The dead: a motorcycle policeman who engaged the terrorists, two residents of Bnei Brak, and 2 foreign workers. According to reports, the policeman was an Arab-Israeli Christian who tried to stop the gunmen.

Who the terrorists were remains unclear at this moment. The PLO’s Fatah Division, Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, has claimed responsibility for the attack. The primary terrorist is a Palestinian from Yabad in northern Samaria who was apparently living in Israeli illegally. According to television reports, this terrorist was killed, another terrorist was “neutralized”, and a third escaped.

Responses:

Homeland Security Minister Amar Bar-Lev has ludicrously ordered that “if riots take place on the Temple Mount in support of the terrorists, stun grenades must not be thrown.”

At the moment, wild celebrations are taking place in eastern Jerusalem, Jenin, Tulkarm, Hevron, and Ramallah.

Numerous checkpoints have been set up throughout the country halting the admission of Palestinians into Israel.

Ayman Odeh, head of the Joint Arab List in the Knesset: “The Palestinian people have a right to revolt.

The Jordanian Ambassador to the Peace Organization for International Aid and Human Rights based in Sweden, has praised the terrorist.

Update 8:30 pm Israel time:

5 more Israelis have been murdered in a terrorist shooting attack in Bnei Brak. Two terrorists are apparently dead and one is on the loose. More updates to come.

Quote of the Day

Part of the crowd at the rally in Hadera last night.

Hundreds of people came to a rally last night at the site of the terror attack in Hadera organized by a new group called “Suddenly the People Rise!”

One of the organizers of the rally declared:

“Unfortunately, the weakness of the government is taking over the country. Weakness in spirit, weakness in mind, weakness in tradition. Unfortunately, following the weakness, our enemies raise their heads. We raise our heads with Jewish pride; we want the salvation of Israel. We will win.”

The News on the Israeli Street

The daily Corona update . . .

15,088 new cases of Corona were confirmed yesterday bringing to 68,154 the total number of Israelis with an active case of Covid-19.

The positive test rate was 17.67%.

273 Israelis are in serious condition in hospitals with another 130 in critical condition on ventilators.

10,485 Israelis have died of Corona–no change since yesterday (because of no reporting from the Health Ministry).

As if Corona is not enough . . .

Dr. Sharon Price, head of the public health services at the Ministry of Health, revealed that there is now a polio outbreak among children in Israel.

According to Price, the problem is that parents have stopped being careful to vaccinate their children against polio because of the focus on Corona. Obviously, she recommended an immediate vaccination campaign.

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

Israelis in Judea and Samaria have seen numerous Molotov and “rock” attacks at such places as the Tapuach Junction, Migdalot, Gilad Farm, Huwara, Road 55 near Azzun, the British Police Junction, and the Ma’ale Amos Junction.

Palestinian terrorists also attacked IDF positions with IEDs between Elon Moreh and Itamar.

Israel’s response to Israeli-Arab and Palestinian terrorism . . .

In yet another incomprehensible move announced yesterday, the IDF announced that the fences that have been erected near the Sha’ar Shechem (Nablus Gate) in Jerusalem to stop terrorists will be removed as Ramadan begins on April 1.

The move is doubly incomprehensible given the fact that the IDF spokesman also announced that Israel is expecting a wave of terror during the holiday.

Why are we making it easy for terrorists?

Terrorism among Israeli-Arabs . . .

Once again it is worthwhile remembering that the latest two terror attacks were carried out by self-described Palestinians who are Israeli-Arabs.

If you recall, the first attack in Beersheva was carried out by a Bedouin who had been a schoolteacher.

This morning we had this scene at a Ramadan celebration at a Bedouin elementary school in the city of Rahat near Beersheva:

Faces of the children have been blurred but you can see the PLO flags painted on their faces.

Faces of the children have been blurred but you can see the PLO flags painted on their faces.

Obviously, the schools are hotbeds of anti-Israel instruction.

One reason is a fact that was published yesterday: 22 percent of Arab teachers in Israel receive their training in PLO institutions in Ramallah, Nablus and Hebron.

Terrorism emanating from such places as Rahat and Umm al-Fahm (where the Hadera terrorists were from) should come as no surprise as Israel has lost all control over who teaches and what is taught in Arab-Israeli schools.

TODAY’S BLOG:

Who Are The Good Guys and Who Are The Bad Guys?

Ironically, considering our blog yesterday in which we pointed out how Israel has spent the last three decades rehabilitating in turn the PLO,  and more recently Hamas and Islamic Jihad, we had the following statement from the IDF COGAT commander, Major General Rassan Aliyan:

“ISIS is threatening Israel as well as the Palestinian Authority and even Hamas and Islamic Jihad.”

This statement came in the context of the IDF carrying out large scale arrests of ISIS operatives in Israeli-Arab towns as well as in Judea and Samaria in the wake of the Beersheva and Hadera terror attacks.

Large scale arrests of ISIS terrorists, but complete disregard for Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists.

After all, as we wrote yesterday, ISIS is now the bad guy, and Hamas and Islamic Jihad are the good guys that the IDF needs to protect.

By the way, what did Hamas spend the day doing?

After issuing a statement praising the attackers in Hadera, the terror organization fired numerous experimental missiles into the Mediterranean–missiles which will be used against Israelis in the next war.

What is the bottom line?

As we wrote yesterday, there is no difference between ISIS, the PLO, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad: they are all terror groups determined to destroy Israel.

There are no good guys.
