Yesterday’s Murdered
Amir Khoury was the Israeli-Arab (Christian) motorcycle policeman who was first on the scene and the first to open fire on the terrorist.
Rabbi Avishai Yehezkel was the 29-year-old father of a two year old. His wife is nine months pregnant.
Yaakov Shalom was a Bnei Brak resident and the father of five.
Viktor Sorokopot and Dmitri Mitric were workers from the Ukraine living in Israel on work permits.
May all of their memories be blessed.
The Outrageous Quote of the Day
“The killing of Israeli and Palestinian civilians will only lead to a deterioration of the situation ahead of Ramadan. We are trying to obtain some stability.”
Mahmoud Abbas (aka Abu Mazen), the Chairman of the PLO
This quote was circulated throughout the international media yesterday to show that Abbas the peacemaker “condemned” the murderous attack in Bnei Brak.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
Abbas is the head of the Fatah, the largest Palestinian faction in the PLO. Fatah’s “military arm” is the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades–which immediately and proudly took responsibility for the murders yesterday.
Every terrorist attack that takes place is personally authorized by Abbas or one of his subordinates (with Abbas’ approval). Not only did Abbas order the attack but also he will supervise payments to the terrorist’s family.
One Fatah Facebook post yesterday declared: “The hero martyr ascended to heaven while courageously defending our people.”
The Absolutely Correct Facebook Post of the Day
“When a soldier/policeman cannot respond to an Arab who shoves a phone camera in his face and curses him from zero range . . .
When the police no longer respond to a call about throwing stones at Israeli motorists . . .
When a court eases the punishment for a terrorist crime . . .
When the coalition government will not do the minimum required to protect its citizens – because of the fear that it will come apart . . .
Etc etc etc etc etc…
There is no deterrence. Dead.
And when these are the face of things – is anyone really surprised that this is the situation we have reached?”

The News on the Israeli Street
More on the Bnei Brak murders . . .
***How did the terrorist get from Area B near Jenin to Bnei Brak?
You may remember that for the last decade, we here at OneIsrael have continuously reported on how there are numerous holes in the separation fence through which thousands of illegal Palestinians enter Israel everyday. Once through a hole, there are numerous taxis and private cars waiting to pick them up and carry them to where they want to go.
That is exactly how the terrorist got to Bnei Brak.
You might ask “why doesn’t Israel close the holes in the fence?” The answer is simple: officials such as “Defense” Minister Benny Gantz have described the holes as “humanitarian”–and soldiers patrolling the fence have been ordered not to stop the daily flow of Palestinians into Israel.
***The terrorist had previously been convicted of terrorism he committed in Samaria.
Why wasn’t he still in prison?
The answer is simple: he received a plea deal orchestrated by military court judge Samzer Shagog–and was not sent to prison for the usual number of years.
***In the wake of the murders.
–Our horrible ultra-left wing Minister of Homeland Security Amar Bar-Lev called on the public yesterday to volunteer for a “Civil Guard” to back up the Border Police.
This is exactly the proposal that he thwarted from taking place last year.
–An emergency assessment of the situation in Judea and Samaria was held last night following reports of more than 30 terror attacks against Israelis during the last 24 hours. The conclusion of the IDF: if an act involving soldiers who are stopping terrorism results in the deaths of multiple Palestinians, it could cause the area to explode.
Can you believe it?
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
As was just mentioned, there were more than 30 attacks yesterday in Judea and Samaria during which at least 4 Jewish community members were wounded.
Palestinian terrorist threw Molotovs and “rocks” at such places as near Azzun, at Einbus Square in Huwara, on the Gilad Axis, beside the Tapuach Junction, on the Trans-Yehuda Highway (Israeli wounded in the face), on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road beside Beit Omer, at Givat Assaf, on Road 465 near Deir Abu Mash’al, at Khursa, Negohot, at Curve 160 between Hevron and Kiryat Arba, and east of Qalqilya on Road 55.
Hard to believe . . .
It is hard to believe how Israel is now cozying up to Turkish PM Erdogan who has built his career out of vilifying Jews and Israel.
Yesterday it was reported that Israel is considering participating in building a pipeline through Turkey that will carry natural gas from our offshore wells to Europe.
Doesn’t anyone realize the danger in such a pipeline being built through Turkey where Erdogan could turn it off at any time?
TODAY’S BLOG
The Utter Insanity Of Our Utterly Misguided Israeli Leadership
Amidst all of the terrorism of the last week which has claimed the lives of 11 people and wounded 18 more, one might ask where is “Defense” Minister Gantz?
Earlier this week we reported on how he was getting ready to gallivant to India, but it turns out that he was somewhere else yesterday–6 hours before the Bnei Brak murders.
That location was Amman, Jordan.
Apparently the fact that Jordan had rejected Israeli begging that it send its Foreign Minister to the Negev Foreign Ministers’ meeting did not faze Gantz–or the fact that King Abdullah had opted to go visit PLO Chairman Abbas instead.
No, Gantz showed up at Abdullah’s Amman palace yesterday to wish Abdullah and the Jordanians a happy Ramadan.
And to:
—present the king with the steps that Israel is taking to preserve freedom of worship in Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria
—reveal additional steps he is taking to improve lives of Palestinians in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza
—thank the king for his leadership and positive influence on the entire region
—laud the king for deepening the peace between the two countries
Pardon your humble servant while he regurgitates.
What peace? Jordan does everything it can to undermine Israel in every international venue.
What leadership and positive influence? As we said, Jordan refused to even attend the Foreign Ministers’ summit a few days ago.
Reveal steps being taken to improve the lives of Palestinians? Maybe, “Defense” Minister Gantz should work on improving the security of Israelis.
Freedom of worship? Why do we need to tell anyone, least of all King Abdullah who rules over a country where there is no freedom of worship, what we are doing to ensure religious freedom?
Gantz’s trip is just another example of the utter insanity that has befallen our utterly misguided Israeli leadership.
