Yawn . . . The Netanyahu Trial Moves To Case 1000
Now that the prosecution has completely bumbled Case 4000 against former PM Netanyahu, it has moved on to Case 1000 (aka the cigars and champagne case).
State witness number two (after the utter failure of State Witness one in Case 4000), is Hadar Klein who was a personal assistant to billionaires Arnon Milchan and James Packer.
Her testimony yesterday told us absolutely nothing that we did not already know. To sum up, Bibi likes expensive Cuban cigars and Sarah likes expensive French champagne—and Milchan and Packer who greatly admired Bibi were only too happy to supply them.
From the outset of the trials last year, your humble servant predicted that no matter what the evidence showed, the Court would find Netanyahu innocent of all charges in Cases 4000 and 2000, but that he will be found guilty of “breach of trust” in Case 1000–a vague nebulous charge which will cover the cigars and champagne.
He has to be found guilty of something to justify the hundreds of thousands of shekels that the police spent in their crusade to bring Netanyahu down.
