The News on the Israeli Street
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
–A Palestinian terrorist repeatedly stabbed a 41-year-old Israeli with a screwdriver on Egged bus 137 near the Ramot Junction yesterday. When the bus driver stopped the bus, both terrorist and victim tumbled out, and the terrorist began to try to stab other passengers who also got off of the bus.
A passerby who works for Ynet News saw what was happening and shot the terrorist, moderately wounding him. The Israeli was critically wounded with multiple stab wounds in the torso. The 43-year-old terrorist is from Ramallah and was in Israel on a BMC permit (Palestinian businessman).
–Palestinian terrorists using “rocks”, Molotovs, and IEDs attacked Israelis at Singil northeast of Ramallah, at the Al-Khader Junction on the Jerusalem-Gush Etzion Road, at Luban a-Sharqiya, Huwara, and Marda among other places.
–Now that Biden has left Israel, the IDF has resumed tracking down wanted Palestinian terrorists. Last night 11 were captured in Tulkarm, Deir Tzomet, Ramon, Beit Likia, Al Yamun, Deir Dewan, Kifal Hareth, Deir Abu Mash’al, and Al Aida.
–Two Palestinian Hamas terrorists were captured at the Gaza border fence last night.
Today’s Corona update . . .
8,524 Israelis tested positive yesterday (out of 33,407 tested) bringing to 65,019 the number of active patients in the country.
The positive test rate was 25.52%; the coefficient of infection was 0.85%.
411 Israelis are seriously ill; 99 are critically ill—85 of these are on ventilators.
11,208 have died–27 since yesterday.
27 more Israelis died of Corona yesterday; hence the number of critically ill and those of ventilators decreased. 27 in one day is the highest daily mortality in some time.
Gantz goes gallivanting again . . .
It is simply amazing how “Defense” Minister Gantz, PM Lapid, and associate PM Bennett love to go (with their entourages) on monthly junkets at the expense of Israeli taxpayers.
Yesterday Gantz flew off to the United States again–this time to attend a conference in Aspen.
But not before issuing an edict to the Civil Administration and IDF that they are to scour Area C of Judea and Samaria looking for fledgling Jewish communities to destroy.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Amidst tens of thousands of illegal Palestinian settlements and other buildings in Area C, Gantz is determined to destroy young Jewish communities that have every right to be where they are.

How Palestinians Teach Their Children To Murder Israelis
Within the Jerusalem municipal boundaries is the Anata neighborhood–located in the eastern area of the city about 2 miles from the Old City. The residents of Anata self-identify as Palestinians.
The school system in Anata is under the aegis of Israel’s Ministry of Education. This means that teachers’ salaries, school facilities, and programs for students are all paid for by Israeli taxpayers like your humble servant.
Yesterday, a video made at a school graduation in Anata this past week became public.
As part of the graduation ceremony, one student specifically dressed as Israeli legislator Itamar Ben Gvir.
“Ben Gvir” was depicted as “hitting” the Al-Aksa Mosque, then being captured, and then kneeling on stage as a student held him at gunpoint. Meanwhile two other blindfolded and “handcuffed” Palestinian students who had been arrested by “Israeli Police” also kneeled on stage.
At the conclusion of the “play”, the Palestinians were released, and Ben Gvir was killed to the wild applause of the large crowd attending the graduation.
When asked about the video, a spokesperson for the Education Ministry dissembled: “The Ministry of Education has nothing to do with it, and at the same time we express regret that the school is raising its students on the principles of incitement, hatred and terrorism, instead of giving them a real education. The Ministry will forward the material to the relevant security agencies for handling the issue.”
In short, the Ministry disavowed any responsibility in the matter and said it was up to the police to handle the matter. As we all know, the police will do nothing.
As for Itamar Ben Gvir, he commented: “The wild incitement in the school must not be passed over in silence, it starts with incitement and may end in murder.”
Not “may end in murder”, but will end in murder.
