The News on the Israeli Street
The Biden Administration’s egregious meddling in Israeli affairs . ..
First comes the news that the Biden administration is actively trying to manipulate the democratic system here.
“Senior Biden officials” are “troubled” by the possibility that the Otzma Yehudit Party will be in the next government and that its head, Itamar Ben Gvir, will be appointed as the head of a government ministry.
One official said: “For us, this will be a huge problem.” The same official said that the Biden Administration has already contacted Benjamin Netanyahu to warn him “of the problem.”
Second, the brazen U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Tom Nides, said yesterday that the Biden Administration is actively working to change facts on the ground and facilitate a Palestinian state by “limiting Israeli construction” everywhere in Judea and Samaria–and in eastern Jerusalem. This comment came as Nides proudly declared that Biden has earmarked another $500,000,000 for the Palestinians.
Third, the same brazen Nides declared yesterday that the Biden Administration is making “a real difference” in the lives of Palestinians—by changing the demography of the “West Bank.” He did this in a tweet in which he crowed that because of Biden, the Allenby Crossing into Jordan will operate 24 hours a day beginning on October 24. This expanded opening will result in a flood of Palestinians coming into Israel from Jordan.
A scary and disconcerting anecdote from Holon yesterday . . .
Holon resident Zohar Aharoni had her cellphone stolen. She immediately activated her phone tracking app and found that it was in a warehouse in the city.
She called the police but they refused to go to the warehouse.
Why?
Because there were Palestinians there. Illegal Palestinians. From Hevron.
Aharoni later found out that the warehouse her phone was tracked to is surrounded by other warehouses–and each one has between six and eight Palestinians.
Can you believe this? Our police now cower in the face of illegal Palestinians in our country.
TODAY’S BLOG
War In Judea And Samaria
No declarations have been made, but what else would you call the following?
IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi greenlighted the targeting of terrorists in Judea and Samaria from the air this morning as the IDF is rushing to eradicate terror cells in the area.
This comes on the heels of the events in Jenin yesterday in which at least 5 terrorists were killed during a prolonged battle, and another 45 were wounded, some critically. The PLO hospital in Jenin declared a state of emergency and called for blood donations.
Some videos from Jenin yesterday:
Click here to see terrorists run into a kindergarten–and the teachers trying to keep them out.
Click here to see an IDF sniper take out a terrorist.
Click here to see Palestinian terrorists throw an IED at an IDF tractor and yell Allahu Akbar.
Jenin was just the tip of the iceberg:
There were 2 shooting attacks against Israelis in Mt. Bracha and the A-Tor neighborhood.
Palestinian terrorists opened fire near Shavei Shomron targeting a security patrol vehicle and a bus. No Israelis were wounded. Another security vehicle was fired on at Deir Sharif.
Palestinian terrorists attacked at the Hosan Bypass near Beitar Nezam. An Israeli was wounded in the head.
An Israeli motorist came under fire from a passing vehicle between Adorim and Nagahot.
Palestinian terrorists using RPGs fired on IDF jeeps between Yitzhar and the Jit Junction, and on the Gilad Highway.
An Israeli truck driver was wounded in the head by a “rock” near Gilad.
Palestinian terrorists opened fire on the north bypass at Kiryat Arba.
Palestinian terrorists using “rocks”, Molotovs, and IEDs tried to kill Israelis on the Jerusalem-Gush Etzion road near Al Khader, south of the Karmi Tzur-north Halhul Junction, Azzun, on Road 55 near Pondok, at the Sela Outpost, in Hawara between Einbus and the large Yitzhar Junction, Shemsha, and at the archaeological area on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road among many locations.
Here at OneIsrael, we have been reporting daily on the terrorism that Jewish community members and the IDF face in Judea and Samaria, and have pointed out that in recent months we have seen a shift from “rocks”, Molotovs, and IEDs, to gunfire. Now we have RPGs to add to the weapons being used against us.
There is no doubt that what we see in Judea and Samaria is open warfare.
