The News on the Israeli Street
The war in Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem: Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
Shooting attacks in Judea and Samaria:
Palestinian terrorists from the PLO’s Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade opened fire on the IDF post on Mt. Gerizim.
Palestinian terrorists from the PLO’s Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade opened fire on the Salem IDF post at Hatmar Menasha.
Palestinian terrorists attacked IDF forces with heavy gunfire in Shechem.
Palestinian terrorists opened fire on the IDF position at Mevo Dotan.
Palestinian terrorists detonated an IED near the Jalama Checkpoint in an effort to kill Israeli security personnel there.
Palestinian terrorists using IEDs, Molotovs, and “rocks” attacked Israelis at Al Aruv, the Hosan Bypass, the British Police Junction, between Esh Kodesh and Achia, Mormusay’ya, between Hizma and Anta, Azzun, Psagot, on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road near Shemsha (woman wounded), on the Halhul Bypass, on Road 55 near the Nabi Elias Bypass, and between Rabbah and the Yakir Haguda Junction near Hares.
Jerusalem.
Violent unrest continues in Jerusalem–all the more because of statements such as those that came out of Australia this morning that “Australia no longer recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel”–not even western Jerusalem.
The manhunt continues for the murderer of Noa Lazar and critical wounding of security officer David Morel at the Shuafat Checkpoint last week. Last night, soldiers of the Border Guard, the General Security Service and Border Guard units captured 7 suspects who helped the terrorist carry out the attack.
Electioneering runs wild . . .
We have electioneering on all sides today. The main subject is who would be willing to sit with whom in the next Coalition government.
Hmm. According to the news today:
Gantz will sit with Netanyahu . . . sort of . . . Gantz says that he would join Likud in a coalition if Netanyahu is not the prime minister or any other minister in the government.
Gantz will not sit with the Joint Arab List or with Otzma Yehudit.
Otzma Yehudit will not sit with Gantz or Lapid.
Jewish Home will not sit with the Joint Arab List.
And on and on ad nauseum.
Of course, as the last election cycle proved, all of the above is baloney. Bennett, who swore up and down that he would never sit with the Islamist Ra’am Party, sat with them in order to gain power.
TODAY’S BLOG:
The Illegal PLO Takeover Of Area C Continues Unabated
It is simply dumbfounding how our government is doing nothing to stop the PLO from building infrastructure and homes in Area C of Judea and Samaria.
Yesterday, construction of an asphalt road was completed by the PLO from Kfar Beta to the Tel Aroma archaeological site–a road that is intended to link to a huge commercial center that the PLO is building on a nearby ridge.
The center will be built next to the ruins of Hasmonean fortress which the PLO has transformed into a 6-story building named the “Mosque of the Martyrs.”
And our government just fiddles while Area C is taken over.
