The Photo of the Day
What you don’t know is that this is a house meant to represent the hundreds of illegal Palestinian homes being built in Area C.
The Regavim Organization that monitors this construction erected this “home” in front of “Defense” Minister Benny Gantz’s home today. Gantz is the person in charge of construction in Area C.
The flags of course are the European Union flag (because it is the main funder of the illegal construction) and the PLO flag.
The News on the Israeli Street
War in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria: Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours.
In Jerusalem.
On the basis of specific credible threats, the city of Jerusalem has been put on highest alert. An extraordinary number of security personnel are now on the streets. It is believed that the threats are emanating from the Lions’ Den terror group in Shechem whose leader was killed yesterday in a targeted assassination.
In Judea and Samaria.
There have been multiple shooting attacks since yesterday mostly targeting IDF soldiers at different checkpoints such as the Huwara Checkpoint.
Palestinian terrorists throwing IEDs, Molotovs, and “rocks” attacked Israelis on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road between Beit Omer and Karmi Tzur, at Al Aruv, between the east and north Halhul junctions, on Road 5 between the Barkan Junction and Gitti Avishar, between Ariel and Tapuach near Zita, on Road 55 near Kedumim, on Road 60 beside Luban a-Sharqiya, on Road 2 at Jessar al-Zarqa (a woman was badly wounded in the face by shrapnel), and at a host of other places.
Election information . . .
According to the government, there are 6,788,804 eligible voters in Israel.
It is estimated that at least 30% of these voters will not vote in the election next week. Many of them will be on vacation. Remember that there is no absentee voting in Israel.
TODAY’S BLOG
The Outright Fraud of “Humanitarian” Groups Operating In Israel
The above activists were recorded as they confronted Israeli farmers. Their actions were ironic considering what we saw on Israeli television last night.
All of you dear readers have often seen me castigate the fraudulent self-proclaimed “human rights” groups operating in Judea, Samaria, and Israel. You may remember that your humble servant and his wife have gone undercover and visited checkpoints and flashpoints such as Qalqilya and Hevron with such despicable groups as Machsom Watch and Breaking the Silence.
After taking those trips, I reported in this blog how the such groups disseminate false information and lack transparency about how they are funded and what they do with the funds.
Last night, Israel Channel 13 surprisingly (because like all mainstream Israeli media, Channel 13 is very leftist in its perspective) aired the first part of a series which shows the recordings made by a young woman who volunteered to work with Ad Kan to infiltrate “humanitarian” groups supporting the Palestinians.
In the first segment, we saw her meet for the first time with Palestinian supporters in Rotterdam during which she was vetted by the group as to whether she should be sent to “Palestine” to observe what is happening there so that she could report back to groups around the world about the “horrors” she has seen.
In a remarkable series of recorded conversations, we heard the “human rights” group members tell her what to expect. One of the expectations was that she should expect to be sexually harassed physically and worse.
However, she was told that she should just ignore what happens to her and focus on embracing the Palestinian narrative. In all cases, she should remember that she will present the Palestinians as victims and Israelis as the oppressors.
In the midst of all of these conversations, one of the human rights group said that “it would be better if all Israelis were dead.” To which the undercover person asked, “Does that mean children too?” The reply: “Yes, children too.”
Tonight, the segment will supposedly show how many of the “humanitarian” groups are funded by Hamas and the PLO.
