Breaking News
A dark morning here in Israel.
An explosion at the Ramot Junction of Jerusalem in the past few minutes:
Earlier, terrorists remotely detonated a bomb at a bus stop in the Givat Shaul neighborhood of Jerusalem. 1 person is dead, another is in extremely critical condition; 10 more are seriously wounded.
Earlier in Jenin: a Israeli-Druze veered off the road near the city. In the ensuing crash he was critically injured, and his passenger seriously injured. He was then taken to a hospital in Jenin (the closest available) where he was connected to medical equipment. Members of Islamic Jihad then stormed the hospital, disconnected the tubes killing him, and then kidnapped his body.

In other sad news . . .
The head of Temple Mount Faithful movement, Gershon Salomon, passed away this morning at age 87.
In case you are not familiar with him, allow me to quote from the group website today:
“Salomon was born in Jerusalem in 1935 and was active in Beitar and Etzel. In one of the actions, he was arrested by the British . . . His brother Dov was the deputy commander of the force that broke into Acre prison.
During his military service he was injured on the Syrian border in the spine and as a result had to use a walking stick.
After his release from the hospital, he studied at the Hebrew University, where he began political activity; he joined the freedom cell at the university and was later elected to the Jerusalem City Council on behalf of the Likud party. After the Camp David Accords, he withdrew from the Likud, and was one of the founders of the ‘Revival’ party and was even nominated for mayor of Jerusalem.
His main activity was in the Temple Mount Faithful Movement. He was removed from the Temple Mount in 1990 after the movement announced its intention to lay the cornerstone of the Third Temple. For thirty years, he was prohibited from going to the Temple Mount, and only about three years ago was he allowed to enter the mountain again.”
