It was reported yesterday that Oman is set to repeal its boycott against Israel. As you do not know, your humble servant was in Oman three weeks ago.
Tomorrow, the new government will be sworn in. Around 2 pm, PM Netanyahu will reveal the ministers of his coalition government. It is simply astonishing to see how those who lost the last election (particularly Lapid and Gantz) are calling the new Netanyahu government “undemocratic.” By the way, a secret election will be held within the Likud Party today to choose the next Knesset speaker (you will recall that Yariv Levin’ s appointment was only until the new government is sworn in).
Shin Bet announced today that it has arrested the terrorist who carried out the double bombings in Jerusalem last month that murdered and wounded Israelis. The terrorist is an Israeli-Arab who works as a mechanical engineer and has homes in Ramallah and Kfar Aqab.
A student from Malawi, who had worked with an Israeli health volunteer in his country battling AIDS, came up to us as we walked down the street in the UC-Davis Picnic Day Parade and wanted to carry the Israeli flag.
