The Photos And Quote of the Day
While at the Wall, Netanyahu said, “I just wrote in the Book of Visitors: ‘The keeper of Israel will neither sleep nor sleep.’ And to say that I am excited to accept the position of prime minister and lead the State of Israel. I come here to touch the stones of the Wall and to remember that we have the duty to preserve the legacy of the generations and to secure our future for future generations . . .”
The News on the Israeli Street
The war in Judea and Samaria . . .
Last night, Palestinian terrorists opened fire on IDF soldiers as they were carrying out the demolition of the house of the terrorist who killed Maj. Bar Falah back in September. In the ensuing firefight, two terrorists were killed. The house was destroyed. Click here to see an IDF video of the destruction.
Israeli aircraft attack Syria overnight . . .
In yet another attack on Iranian-Hezbollah supply lines, IAF planes struck the area around Damascus last night. There is no report about the extent of damage.
The ongoing media war against the new government . . .
Believe it or not, the mainstream Israeli news media is continuing to conduct “election” polls purportedly showing what the composition of the government would be if the election were held tomorrow.
Yesterday, for example, the ultra-leftist Channel 13 broadcast another poll from their in-house pollster Camille Fuchs. The poll, based on the answers of 700 people (no doubt handpicked for their ideological slant), showed that the current Netanyahu coalition would only win 58 seats if there were a new election, and that 55% of respondents do not support the new government.
Obviously, we are going to have one poll after another with the same results—all designed to convince the Israeli public that a new election is needed.
All your humble servant can cynically say is “Good luck.” We have a strong government now in place that will more than likely remain until 2026.

The Abominable Departing Actions of the Lapid-Gantz Coalition
Yesterday, we reported about how “Defense” Minister Gantz apparently ordered the military closure of the fledgling Jewish community of Ramat Migron in the days before he left office. The purpose of the closure was to raze the community to the ground.
It was the final action of a “Defense” Minister hellbent on handing over Area C of Judea and Samaria to the PLO.
Today, more actions taken in the last week have come to light.
This past month, a Palestinian terrorist carried out a stabbing attack in Hawara. He tried to open the car door of a Jewish couple. When he failed, he smashed it open with a large concrete block. The driver, an IDF officer on leave, took out his pistol and shot the terrorist.
Slightly wounded, the terrorist then ran toward security forces nearby and stabbed two of them of them. The company commander ran toward the terrorist and tried to grab his knife. When he was attacked, the commander pulled out his gun and killed the terrorist.
On Thursday, just before leaving office, PM Lapid and Gantz ordered that the terrorist’s body be returned to the PLO. Hours later, a full-blown funeral procession took place with PLO and Hamas flags–and the firing of assault weapons into the air.
Moving on, you may recall that the ultra-orthodox Netzah Yehuda Battalion has been at the forefront of fighting terrorism in Judea and Samaria. Its headquarters has been near the Jewish community of Beit El and near Ramallah.
This group of soldiers has done a fabulous job.
So fabulous, that the Biden Administration told the Lapid-Gantz government that it was unhappy with the Battalion and demanded that it be moved somewhere else.
Last week, in a final kowtowing to Joe Biden and his motley minions, PM Lapid, “Defense” Minister Gantz, and the IDF General Command pulled Netzah Yehuda out of Judea and Samaria and repositioned them in the Golan Heights under the Northern Command. This new deployment is supposed to last 11 months.
All we can say is thank G-d that Lapid and Gantz have hopefully been consigned to the dustbin of history.
