Another Egregious “Bloody” Quote From The Left
“[Continuing with legal reform] will end in violence; someone will pay in blood.”
Former (2016-2022) Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit on Channel 12 news yesterday.
Can you believe that a former attorney general would make a statement like this? Is “someone will pay in blood” an incitement to violence?
Of course it is.
The News on the Israeli Street
The war in Judea and Samaria . . .
Shooting attack..
Palestinian terrorists opened fire on our soldiers during an operation in Jenin. In the ensuing firefight, one terrorist was killed.
Stabbing attack.
A Palestinian terrorist carried out a stabbing attack at the Avraham Hasno IDF checkpoint near Al-Fawwar at Mt. Hevron. No soldiers were wounded; the terrorist was shot and killed.
IED, Molotov, and “rock” attacks.
Palestinian terrorists attacked Israelis on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road between Beit Omer and Al Aruv, on Road 443 east of the Maccabim Checkpoint, just outside of Singil, at Luban a-Sharqiya, and at a dozen other locations. One soldier and two civilians were wounded.
In addition to the above, Shin Bet captured five Bedouin, Israeli-Arab citizens who have been supplying Islamic Jihad with massive amounts of stolen weapons and munitions. Operating out of the town of Tel Sheva, they sold 150,000 bullets and hundreds of cartridges for M16s.
Can you believe the massive amount of ammunition that the terrorists are able to steal?
Of course you can (if you are a regular reader of OneIsrael).
The Biden Administration demeans Israel, again . . .
According to news reports, the U.S. has warned Israel that if PM Netanyahu transfers power over the Civil Administration from Defense Minister Galant to Finance Minister Smotrich (as specified in the Coalition Agreements), then the Biden Administration will view the move as “annexation.”
And Israel will suffer severe repercussions.
Can you believe that the U.S. continues to meddle in the internal affairs of Israel?
Of course you can.
Our rescue and medical teams continue in Turkey . . .
Thus far Israeli workers have pulled 17 Turkish men, women, and children out of the rubble. As we mentioned yesterday, the Israeli field hospital is up and running.
By the way, Turkey forced Israelis to remove the Star of David from the Israeli aircraft as a condition of sending help.
Can you believe the sheer audacity of the always anti-Semitic PM Erdogan?
Of course you can.
The ridiculous scene on the way to, and in Jerusalem yesterday . . .
Around five hundred reservists “marched” to Jerusalem yesterday. Well, not exactly. On the way they decided to march out onto Highway 1, the main artery from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and stop traffic.
Waving Israeli flags and flags from their IDF units, they disrupted traffic for as long as possible until police moved them off the road.
On social media, many roundly criticized the reservists for holding up their unit flags–as if everyone in their unit agrees with their anti-government position. One mother of a fallen soldier said that “their demonstration was a slap in my face and that of my son.”
In Jerusalem, protesters stopped the Jerusalem Light Rail, and burned a tire and flare to stop other traffic. Unbelievably, the Police actually pulled in several elite units from Judea and Samaria to protect the protesters–instead of enforcing the law. This led to a major confrontation between Minister of National Security Ben Gvir and the Commissioner of Police which has grown more intense during the day.

TODAY’S BLOG
Sanity In The Midst Of “Democracy Hysteria”
Amidst all the crying and breast beating concerning how the proposed legal reform will bring the world to an end, come three signs of sanity this morning:
*The chairman of the Histadrut announced today that he will not close down the economy next Monday morning in support of the anti-government strike.
*One of the founders of high-tech LSports issued this statement today:
“For those who don’t know – my name is Dotan and I am one of the founders and currently the CEO of the LSPORTS company. Recently, voices have been heard from my colleagues in the profession about withdrawing funds, reducing activity, and moving assets abroad. I want to take this opportunity to make it clear that at LSPORTS we will take a completely opposite approach.
We will continue to invest in our country, develop it, and love it – no matter what the election results were or are in the future because I was taught from a young age that we don’t have another country. To all those opportunists who milked the country for so long and now choose to leave, we will await your return with your tails between your legs.”
*Also this morning comes a letter from the Association of Bereaved Families in Israel:
“We the undersigned, victims of terrorism and the bereaved families, call on the government of Israel to continue to advance the legal reform without delay! This is essential to strengthen the personal security of the citizens of Israel and to fortify the security of the state.
The Supreme Court has led security decision-making in the country. The legal rules limit and hinder the ability of the Israeli governments to act effectively against terrorism in numerous ways including: not allowing the demolition of terrorist homes, returning the bodies of terrorists, awarding rights to imprisoned terrorists and their family members, etc. The court took upon itself the authority to set rules without being responsible for their results.
The promotion of legal reform will strengthen the government’s ability to respond to terrorism and deal with it within the law and without restrictions being imposed on the government beyond what is required .We call on the government to advance the legislation without delay in order to strengthen the fight against terrorism, protect the citizens of Israel, and preserve the existence of the state as a Jewish state.”
On these notes of sanity in an Israeli world gone bananas, we wish you a
SHABBAT SHALOM!
