TODAY’S BLOG
One Terror Attack After Another
The last 14 hours (8:40 pm last night until 10 am this morning when this blog is being written) have seen one terror attack after another here in Israel.
A summary:
At 8:40 pm a Palestinian terrorist from Neilin arrived in Tel Aviv and went straight to Dizengoff Street. Once there he opened fire with a handgun and shot three Israelis on the street beside a popular cafe.
Fortunately, a policeman, a soldier from the Gideon unit, and two armed civilians immediately recognized the situation and opened fire killing him before he could shoot anyone else:
One of the victims who was shot in the neck by the terrorist remains in extremely critical condition this morning following all night surgery by a team of specialists. A second victim is also undergoing surgery and is listed in “stable condition’, the third victim is in serious condition.

Shortly after the Tel Aviv attack, there was an attempted runover attack in the A-Tor neighborhood of Jerusalem. No Israelis were seriously wounded; the terrorists escaped.
—–
Next, an attack was foiled at the Dorot Farm in southern Samaria when a Palestinian terrorist armed with knives and 2 IEDs and shouting Allahu Akbar, was shot and killed by a civilian.

This morning, a Palestinian terrorist placed a bomb on a bus in Beitar Illit. Fortunately, the bomb was spotted before it detonated and was defused by a sapper. In the meantime, the city was closed down during a manhunt for the terrorist–which has so far been unsuccessful.
Terrorism elsewhere:
Two days ago, we called for your prayers for Hadar Noga Lavi, the young girl who was critically wounded in the terror attack near Ofra last Saturday. As you recall, that attack left her paralyzed. This morning she died. May her memory be for a blessing.
In Judea and Samaria.
Shooting attacks:
Palestinian terrorists fired 3 anti-tank missiles at IDF forces on Road 443 near Khirbat al-Simbah.
Palestinian terrorists opened fire on IDF soldiers in the city of Tulkarm.
IED, Molotov, and “rock” attacks:
Palestinian terrorists attacked near Shevi Shomron, in the Marda area between Ariel and Tapuach, on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road near Beit Omer, north of Ofra in the direction of Silwad, at Singil, near Luban al-Sharqiya, and at numerous locations in Gush Etzion.
The Other News on the Israeli Street
The anti-government protests turn violent . . .
The so-called “protests” have turned ugly with vandalism, disruption, and breaking police barricades increasingly being interspersed into rallies. All of the traffic jams in and around Tel Aviv and Ben Gurion Airport in an effort to stop PM Netanyahu from flying to Rome came to naught.
President Herzog disgusts again . . .
In yet another brazenly arrogant speech to the nation last night, Bougie Herzog told the Netanyahu government that the time has come to completely trash its judicial reform proposals, stop all legislation, and instead adopt his soon-to-be presented new outline:
“The set of legislation that is currently being discussed in the committee . . . is wrong. It is predatory and undermines our democratic foundations. Therefore, it should be immediately replaced with another, agreed-upon outline.”
Not one word from Herzog about the rampant anarchy disrupting all of our lives.
Not one word from Herzog about the dangerous refusals of IDF soldiers to serve.
Not one word from Herzog about the Oppositions’s subversion of democracy though their rejection of the results of November election.
Not one word from Herzog about anything except support for his friends on the Left.
President Herzog has begun to sound like the shrill baboon that we always knew he was–the same shrill baboon who could never get elected Prime Minister by the Israeli public.
That which you sow, you shall also reap . . .
As you know, the anti-government Opposition has been openly encouraging hi-tech companies to abandon Israel. Specifically, it has called for headquarters to be relocated elsewhere and money deposited here to be moved abroad.
Apparently, the second most popular bank (after Bank Leumi) among the “hi-techers” is the Silicon Valley Bank (SVP Financial Group), a bank which specializes in giving loans to start-ups. With headquarters in California, London, and Herzliya, it is easy for a high tech company to move its funds from Israel to one of the other headquarters.
This morning, however, brings news that SVP stock has collapsed by 60% and that Moody’s has dramatically lowered the bank’s credit rating. The result: an imminent run on the bank–with many of the 500 or so high-tech investors now fearful of losing their money.
According to one report today: “Israeli hi-tech companies that transferred funds to the bank following the social protest now fear that these funds are at risk.”
On this note and hopeful that that there will be no more terrorism today , we wish you:
