As all of you regular readers of OneIsrael know, your humble servant does not post a blog on Shabbat unless circumstances warrant, but instead offers photos for your consideration.
Photo 1:
Congratulations to Lt. Dorin Lev who has been chosen as the “Chief of Staff” for Israel’s 75th Independence Day celebrations. A programming officer in the IDF’s ICT Division, she is studying for a degree in computer science in her spare time.
Photo 2:
The free trade agreement between Israel and the U.A.E. begins today, April 1. Israel’s Minister of the Economy Nir Birkat is seen here shaking the hand of his U.A.E. counterpart yesterday.
Photo 3:
An Israeli rescue team on its way yesterday to rescue a Swiss tourist who fell in Nahal Prat (the Perat River) at Wadi Qelt. After being pulled out of the river, she was treated for “bruised limbs.”
Photo 4:
A somewhat blurry aerial view of the Har HaBeit (Temple Mount) yesterday. An estimated 250,000 Muslims were on the Mount. In a previous blog, we wondered how long it would be until there was a terrorist attack from all the Muslims that Israel encouraged to come to the Mount. The answer was not long in coming: this morning a terrorist tried to grabbed the gun of a Border Policeman at one of the entrances to the Mount. He was shot and killed.
Photo 5:
The newest Minister in the Coalition: Mai Goldin. She is now the Minister for the Advancement of Women’s Status.
Photo 6:
A group of anti-government reserve soldier protesters in front of anti-government leader Benny Gantz’s house in Rosh Ha’Ayin yesterday. They were protesting Gantz’s statements that no one should refuse service in the reserves or in the army. The signs read that Gantz has no mandate to compromise on democracy.

Some 15,000 members of Chabad in Jerusalem at a national conference celebrating the memory/birthday of Menachem Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rabbi who founded Chabad.
