The Quote of the Day
“The demonstrations have never been about legal reform, their purpose is to oust the government . . . There is no importance in the discussions at the President’s House because, as I mentioned, the fight against the reform is only an excuse to get rid of the Netanyahu government.”
Yair Golan, former Knesset member until his Meretz Party was voted out in the last election.
Of course, this is precisely what your humble servant has been writing since the demonstrations began. The demonstrators have no idea what judicial reforms are being proposed and could care less. They only want to overthrow the democratically elected government of Benjamin Netanyahu.
By the way, Labor Party head Merav Michaeli withdrew her Party from the discussions at the President’s home with Herzog yesterday.
The Photos of the Day
According to the volunteers, the most important lesson the children learn is that “the sky is the limit” and that they are “capable of successfully breaking boundaries.”
Kolakevod to these young women!
The War in Judea and Samaria
A sample of the dozens of “rock”, Molotov, and IED attacks today:
Palestinian terrorists attacked a bus on Road 356 at Toku. MDA medics and paramedics gave the bus driver medical treatment and evacuated him to a Jerusalem Hospital.
Palestinian terrorists wounded another bus driver on Road 31 near Hora.
4 Palestinian terrorists attacked Israeli motorists at Oja. They were captured by the police.
The Netanyahu Trial
Believe it or not, the absurd Netanyahu trial concerning cases 1000, 2000, and 4000 continue. Two developments yesterday:
First, the prosecution and defense reached an agreement to remove 60 remaining witnesses from the witness list–meaning that there are now “only” some 220 more to be heard. Accordingly, the projected trial date completion has been moved forward from 2027 to 2026.
That’s right. The trial will continue for at least 3 more years.
Second, Attorney Tali Gottlieb revealed yesterday that one of the main witnesses against Netanyahu, Nir Hefetz, said in his testimony in court last year that the Obama Administration encouraged the Walla! website to publish articles against Netanyahu.
As Gottlieb wrote: “Unbelievable but not surprising.”

With events like this, the future of Israel is in doubt.
What has happened to our country?
