The News on the Israeli Street
Kibbutz Kerem Shalom shows the difference . . .
The members of the kibbutz continued a tradition they began several wars ago. The children of the kibbutz planted a tree in each hole caused by the blast of a mortar or missile that hit the kibbutz this past week.
How many trees did they plant?
15.
Regional Eshkol Council Head Gadi Yarkoni: “They shoot, we plant and grow. This is our message to terrorism.”
The war in Judea and Samaria . . .
Shooting attacks:
Palestinian terrorists opened fire on IDF soldiers in Aqat Jaber Palestinian settlement. No Israelis were wounded.
Palestinian terrorists opened fire on IDF troops in Turmus’aiyya.
Palestinian terrorists opened fire on IDF soldiers operating in Deheisha.
Palestinian terrorists opened fire on our soldiers in Jenin.
IED, Molotov, and “rock” attacks:
Palestinian terrorists struck on the Gush Etzion-Hevron road near Beit Omer, on the Jerusalem-Gush Etzion Road in the area of Al-Khader, near Hawara, in the vicinity of Tekoa, and at several dozen other locations.
TODAY’S BLOG
Do They Have Any Idea? Of Course They Do
We have often pointed out that those protesting against the government in Israel are little more than anarchist pawns in a much larger movement against Israel–one that focuses on “boycott, divest, and sanction” (aka BDS).
This past weekend, your humble servant had occasion to visit Whole Earth Day in Davis California. Whole Earth Day is mainly an event on the “quad” (open grassy and treed square) in the middle of the University of California Davis campus.
The sidewalks around and through the quad feature the usual “peace” kiosks of 1960s type items for sale (such as earrings, necklaces, and tie-dyed clothing), services (henna painting, massages, and meditation, and food (falafels, fruit on a stick, and vegan/veggie fare of every type.
So, imagine my surprise as we were strolling about the “peaceful” quad that one corner was devoted to castigating Israel. There were the usual tired posters extolling the atrocious Rachel Corrie and featuring self-hating Jews trashing Israel:
Nothing titillates the anti-Israel crowd more than a Holocaust survivor falsely attacking Israel:
But there was something new in the mix this time.
Now included were posters and photos held up by the anarchists in Tel Aviv such as this horrific one which has been circulating around the world for a while:
So on Sunday afternoon, I spent a considerable amount of time arguing with the owner of the booth–a man from Turkey. Of course, my words fell on deaf ears, but I felt better for having called him to account.
I wonder if those “protesting” against Netanyahu in Israel have any idea of the ramifications of their actions around the world?

On this unhappy note, we here at OneIsrael ask for your support so that we can continue to confront the abominable movement against Israel:
