Quote of the Day
“If the checkpoints were active, then my Meir would be here, and my children would have a father.”
Tal Tamari, speaking on the day after her husband Meir’s funeral. Meir was gruesomely shot to death just outside of his home community of Hermesh.
Tal was referring to the fact that we have already reported here at OneIsrael: the checkpoint near Hermesh has been abandoned for months because of international pressure to allow Palestinians “freedom of movement.”
What the abandonment has allowed is “freedom of Palestinian movement so that Palestinians can murder Israelis more easily.”
The News on the Israeli Street
The war in Judea and Samaria.
The terrorist who ran over the soldier in Hawara on May 21 surrendered himself to security forces last night–as they closed in on him.
Shooting attacks:
Palestinian terrorists opened fire on the IDF pillbox on Road 465 at Neve Tzuf. The IDF returned fire.
Palestinian terrorists opened fire near the Mangalim Junction south of Shavi Shomron. One Israeli was wounded in the leg.
Palestinian terrorists opened fire on IDF troops operating in the Shechem casbah.
IED, Molotov, and “rock” attacks:
Palestinian terrorists attacked Israelis at Hawara south of Shechem, on the Gush Etzion-Jerusalem Road in the area of Al-Khader, on Road 55 at the Ginspot Junction near Kedumim, on Road 90 north of Argaman, on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road near Halhul, and at 3 dozen other locations.
Prices continue to soar . . .
The high prices of almost everything increased again yesterday on everything from dairy products (an average of 7 shekels), gasoline (50 agarot per liter), and fruits and vegetables (an average of 10 shekels per kilo).
Once again, an online protest over these outrageous hikes is underway, but almost certainly it will once again have little result.
The ludicrous “Left” promotes Benny Gantz . . .
It is hilarious to see the lengths to which the “left” continues to promote the utterly incompetent former Defense Minister and IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz.
Not a day goes by without another meaningless leftist poll from Channel 13 and the Maariv newspaper purporting to show that if an election were held tomorrow, Gantz’s party would fly to victory.
On top of that, the leftist Jerusalem Post has actually invited Gantz to be its keynote speaker at its gala in New York this week, and all the Bidenites have invited Gantz to prance around in Washington after he finishes in New York.
It is all ridiculously pathetic; the next election in Israel will be on October 27, 2026.

We Have Reached The Iranian Tipping Point
“We are approaching the decisive moments in the face of the nuclear threats. We will not allow Iran nuclear weapons.”
An unnamed senior official in the Israel Defense Ministry yesterday.
The official was speaking in light of Defense Minister Galant’s comments two days ago that Iran now has enough enriched uranium to produce 4 nuclear bombs, that Iran is continuing to increased the percentage of refined uranium coming out of its centrifuges (flying in the face of a reported new U.S.-Iran agreement concerning uranium enrichment), and that the IAEA has announced that it is closing the Marivan case (investigation into a previously undisclosed Iranian nuclear site).
PM Netanyahu issued yet another warning yesterday: “I have a clear message to Iran and the international community, Israel will do everything it needs to do to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.”
All of this comes as Iran has dramatically increased its activities along the Syrian and Lebanese borders with its proxies carrying out daily moves to enhance their attack capabilities.
It would appear that Israel is now faced with three choices. Your humble servant would put them in this order of likelihood of happening:
1. We can issue a “red line in the sand statement” which clearly delineates for the first time at what point the Iranian nuclear program would have to be attacked.
2. We can carry out a wholesale attack on Iranian proxies in the area and sabotage attacks in Iran in the hope that this will deter Iran from further nuclear development.
3. We can forthwith attack Iranian nuclear facilities.
Whichever choice is chosen, something must be done because the nuclear danger of Iran has increased exponentially.
On that unhappy note, we wish you a:
