The Unfortunately Correct Tweet of the Day
טלי גוטליב
“And after yesterday, you got the truth. There will be no reform. Within the Likud there are at least 4 traitors who voted for the Yesh Atid representative. Those traitors prove that we do not have a majority to pass the reform. How convenient. A ‘genius’ move. Instead of 2 coalition representatives in agreement, you got a glimpse of the lack of right-wing governance . . .”
For all practical purposes Gotliv is exactly right. The judicial reforms are for all practical purposes, dead.

TODAY’S BLOG:
The Feeble Biden Administration Folds To The Iranians
We all know that the New York Times is the most reliable source for unreliable information, but having said that, we also have known for months–despite its denials–that the Biden Administration has been begging Iran for a new nuclear weapons deal.
Here, according to the Times, are the basic principles of that deal:
Iran agrees not to enrich uranium to a level higher than 60%.
[Correct your humble servant if he is wrong, but haven’t we had endless reports in recent months that Iran is already enriching uranium to 90%? What about all that enriched uranium–enough Israel Defense Minister Galant said a few weeks ago is enough to produce 5 nuclear bombs? In short, this is a meaningless clause.]
Iran agrees to “increase cooperation” with inspectors of the IAEA.
[This is completely laughable. Iran has consistently refused to open its most sensitive and newest nuclear sites to the IAEA. There is no reason to believe that this will change. In short, this is a meaningless clause.]
Iran agrees not to transfer ballistic missiles to Russia.
[Are we to believe that the Russians do not have their own ballistic missiles? In short, this is a meaningless clause].
Iran agrees to release American prisoners imprisoned in Iran.
[By most estimates there are approximately 10-20 American prisoners in Iran. The vast majority of these are dual American-Iranian citizens. This clause plays to Biden’s domestic base].
In return:
The U.S. agrees to not impose additional monetary sanctions on Iran.
[Click your fingers and just like that the U.S. agrees to not impose sanctions on Iran for any reason].
The U.S. agrees to unfreeze billions of Iranian dollars frozen in foreign accounts.
[Click your fingers twice, and billions of dollars will be instantly released to fund Iranian terror around the globe.]
The U.S. agrees to not advance resolutions against Iran in the United Nations and the IAEA.
[Click your fingers three time and terrorist Tehran is no longer a pariah and is welcomed with open arms back into the family of nations].
The U.S. agrees to give Iranian oil tankers freedom of the seas.
[Over the last decade, the U.S. has stopped very few Iranian oil tankers. Of course, some of those they stopped were loaded with oil at all but weapons destined to such place as Yemen. The Iranians do not have to worry about weapons-loaded ships being intercepted anymore.]
What is not in the agreement:
Restrictions on Iranian production of ballistic missiles.
[There were no restriction on the Iranian ballistic missile program in the first Iranian deal back in 2015, and there are none now. Iran is rolling off new ballistics at a rapid rate and surely has enough now to launch attacks on Israel–or wherever it wants.]
Restrictions on Iranian production of suicide attack drones.
[Isn’t it amazing that these suicide drones which have been used to devastating effect in Ukraine are not even mentioned?]
Summary:
The entire deal is a bravura performance once again by Iranian “negotiators” who have once again managed to get everything they want from a feeble American administration.
Israel is more vulnerable than ever.
On that ominous note we along with the soldiers of the 389 ICT Battalion wish you:
