Treasonous Quote of the Day
“Blood on this government for your damned occupation; you behave not only like criminals but also like fools. Everyone is proud of Jenin and justice. More people will join the fighters against this damned occupation . . . Long live the Jenin refugee camp! Long live the Palestinian struggle! Long live Jenin!
Knesset member Ayman Odeh from the Israeli-Arab Party Hadash Ta’al
Can you believe this? A member of our Knesset legislature praising the Palestinian terrorists in Jenin.
This is the same Ayman Odeh whose party provided Knesset cover for the previous Bennett-Lapid-Gantz government.
TODAY’S BLOG
The Complete Disintegration of Order in Tel Aviv
And:
The last few nights have seen the complete disintegration of any meaningful attempt by the Israel Police–and especially the Tel Aviv Police–to maintain order.
First we had the outrageous scene at Ben Gurion Airport two days ago in which anarchist anti-government protesters ignored police restrictions and barricades and stormed in to Terminal 3 to block incoming and outgoing passengers.
Just stop and imagine that.
Israel’s main entry and exit point was blocked to all because the police could not maintain order.
Then we had the events of yesterday in which the Tel Aviv district commander, Superintendent Ami Ashad announced his resignation–though it remains unclear to what extent he resigned or was fired.
Here’s what the self-serving Ashad had to say:
“I am paying a personal price for trying to prevent a fratricidal war, and by not meeting the expectations of the political echelon to break the rules. I could have easily complied with this, and exerted unreasonable force: I could have evacuated Ayalon in a few minutes – at the cost of breaking bones and shattering the agreement between the police and citizens. During the protest, I was asked time and time again that the Tel Aviv district under my command would allow a protest but would also set limits for it.”
Did you get all of that horse manure?
Ashad views himself a hero–because he did not meet the expectations of the government “to break the rules.”
Break the rules? All that was asked of Ashad was to enforce the law to keep the streets and highways open by stopping the anarchists who refuse to obey the law.
That is what he refused to do. The top policeman in Tel Aviv refused to enforce the law.
And he did not have to “break any bones” to do so.
All he had to do was instruct the police to maintain barricades. (Watch this video from last night to see how the anarchists themselves place and control the barricades–be sure to watch until the end).
Speaking about the “resignation” late yesterday afternoon, Minister of National Security Ben Gvir forcefully pointed out that we cannot have a separate enforcement of law for the anarchists in Tel Aviv, orthodox Jewish demonstrators in Jerusalem, and pro-government demonstrators everywhere.
Ben Gvir added: “Ami Ashad’s words this evening prove that a political superintendent served in the Israel Police in uniform. I wish him great success in his future as a candidate in the next elections in the leftist party.”
So what happened last night?
As you can see from the photos above, anarchists walked through police barricades again and blocked roads and freeways supposedly in protest of Ashad’s resignation. Both the north and south Ayalon freeways were blocked for over 5 hours by anarchists who burned tires in the road, shot fireworks as if in celebration, and generally engaged in mayhem.
There is no order in Tel Aviv.
