The war in Judea and Samaria–and elsewhere in Israel.
Terror attacks:
A Palestinian terrorist in a passing vehicle shot Israeli El Rai Kapah as he was driving near the Stuck Junction in Gush Etzion with his daughters in the early morning. Kapah is currently listed in critical condition with gunshot wounds to the upper body. His two daughters (14, 9) were wounded by shrapnel. The terrorist was just captured minutes ago after a firefight in Bethlehem where he was holed up.
Yesterday another terror attack almost took place at Ashahl at Mt. Hevron. A terrorist infiltrated the community and entered a home only to be confronted by the armed wife in the house. She successfully held the terrorist at bay until help arrived.
TODAY’S BLOG:
What happened to PM Netanyahu?
As you have probably heard, Netanyahu was rushed to the emergency room at Sheba hospital yesterday afternoon.
Apparently, he fainted at home in Caesarea, fell, and bumped his head. Reportedly he was given a brain scan at the hospital to be sure there was no cranial bleeding.
Then on the advice of his doctors, he remained in the catheter cardiology unit of the hospital overnight so more tests could be run.
Again “apparently” because no real information has been released, it was discovered that the prime minister has a heart arrythmia, and so a device was placed under the skin in his chest to monitor his heart.
This afternoon PM Netanyahu left the hospital.
According to Netanyahu, the fainting episode was caused by going to the Kineret for several hours in the early afternoon when the temperature was well over 100 F. without wearing a hat or taking/drinking any water. This led to dehydration.
In view of the situation, today’s Cabinet meeting was postponed until tomorrow.
