As is our usual custom hear at OneIsrael, we are not publishing a blog on Shabbat, but instead, are offering some photos for your consideration.

The opening day of school yesterday at an elementary school in Tel Aviv. This was the same scene at schools across the country with festivities at their entrances for incoming students.

“Welcome to Palestine”: a banner hung by leftist anarchists on a bridge near Rosh Ha’yin this morning. The anarchists want to see the end of Israel.

A massive riot in south Tel Aviv yesterday and last night carried out by illegal Eritreans in the country. More than 160 people were injured; 8 seriously; 30 police officers wounded.

A student from Malawi, who had worked with an Israeli health volunteer in his country battling AIDS, came up to us as we walked down the street in the UC-Davis Picnic Day Parade and wanted to carry the Israeli flag.
