SHANA TOVAH!
Soldiers celebrating Rosh Hashana–note the soldier on the left holding a container of honey which is pouring into his mouth and the soldier in the front eating an apple!
Following our Shabbat custom of not publishing a blog, we instead offer 5 photographs for your consideration:
Photo 1: The first baby of the new year!
The first baby of the new year was born to the happy Serosi family of Holon at Wolfson Medical Center just minutes after sundown at 6:37 pm. The baby boy–as yet unnamed–weighed 3.285 kg.
Photo 2: Gaza terrorists set massive fires on the Gaza Border.
Palestinian terrorists set massive carcinogenic fires along the border yesterday in hopes of contaminating Israeli communities. This photo comes from a Palestinian website. Terrorists also resumed launching explosive balloons into southern Israel yesterday.
Photo 3: The Rosh Hashana menu card for the 727th Battalion last night.
Your humble servant is not going to translate the entire extravagant menu, but a few of the items were fish cigars, carpaccio, tofu steak and schnitzel, colored tahini, chicken entrecote, and a dozen salads.
Photo 4: The exploding terrorist.
This photo is a screen shot from a video taken by terrorists of the moment that an IED exploded prematurely on the Gaza security fence two days ago. 5 terrorists were killed including the man in the circle in the photo who was thrown into the air by the force of the explosion–an explosion that was meant to kill our soldiers.
Photo 5: Security forces combing through a terrorist’s car on Road 431 near Rishon yesterday.
A major explosion detonated in the Yarkon neighborhood of Tel Aviv early yesterday morning. Subsequently, police spotted the suspicious vehicle you see above and stopped it. The terrorist who placed the bomb in Yarkon was inside–a self-identified Palestinian from eastern Jerusalem. Fortunately, no one was wounded in the blast.
On that happy note of no one being wounded, we wish you a:
SHABBAT SHALOM!
and
SHANA TOVAH!
