The Photo of the Day
The attacks, as usual, hit nothing but empty sand dunes and empty buildings. The above “outpost” was hit with an tank shell (which did not even destroy the ramshackle metal frame).
After the photos were released, the IDF issued a statement which said that the hitting of empty sites is “a well-planned strategy” designed to let Hamas know it still has time to de-escalate and calm the current situation.
What unadulterated horse manure.
Our soldiers are being shot at all along the border, our citizens are on the receiving end of toxic smoke and exploding balloons, and the IDF General Command has a “well planned strategy” of doing nothing.
Unbelievable.
The News on the Israeli Street
The war in Judea and Samaria.
IDF forces in conjunction with Shin Bet captured 13 wanted terrorists overnight.
Shooting attacks:
Palestinian terrorists fired on IDF soldiers at a military post near Shavika.
Palestinian terrorists fired on IDF soldiers in Qalqilya.
Palestinian terrorists fired on our soldiers in Tubas.
In each of the above shooting attacks no Israelis were wounded, and the terrorists escaped.
IED, “rock”, Molotov attacks:
Palestinian terrorists tried to murder Israelis on the Aschaka Bridge betwen Ariel and Nofi Nehemiah, between Arirel and Tapuach, near Merada, Beit Deiko, Shechem, Deheisha, Shioch, and at another 20+ locations.
The war on the Gaza border.
IDF combat helicopters “attacked” (see above photo) Hamas positions at Moked Karni and Moked Rafih on the Gaza border following shooting attacks by terrorists on IDF soldiers.
Numerous toxic fires are burning along the border set by Palestinians burning tires:
Numerous fires started by exploding balloons are burning or smoldering in Israeli communities along the border. One of the worst fires is near Sha’ar Hanegev.
TODAY’S BLOG
The Outrageous Yom Kippur Events
In Tel Aviv Sunday Evening
Let’s begin today by describing exactly what happened on Sunday night.
1. After years of permitting gender segregated prayer among Muslim and orthodox Jews, the city of Tel Aviv suddenly decided this past weekend to not permit organizers from the Rosh Yehudi Yeshiva from doing so during their Yom Kippur Service in Dizengoff Square.
2. The Supreme Court issued a ruling supporting the decision of the Tel Aviv municipality.
3. On Sunday night, members of Rosh Yehudi set up the public space. They created a makeshift partition between men and women using a combination of Israeli flags and plastic chairs.
4. By the evening, the orthodox (and many non-orthodox) were trying to pray while protesters were screaming “Shame” and “Why should we accept you in our public space?” The protesters continued disrupting the service and shouting at the worshipers.
5. One of the protesters climbed onto the platform that was set up and took down the flags. He was detained by the police.
6. Finally, the service was moved to a nearby synagogue.
The scenes of the disruption and the harassment of the worshipers spread like wildfire throughout the country.
Virtually everyone has expressed outrage about what happened.
Even leaders of the anti-government movement have done so. The scenes of Israeli-Jewish anti-government anarchists verbally assaulting Jewish worshipers is too much for even them to stomach.
What happened in Tel Aviv is why the madness has to stop. So-called “protesters” crossed the line of legitimate protest long ago.
