Just publicized: IDF soldier Pvt. Ori Megidish was rescued last night from central Gaza in an operation by IDF special forces. She was apparently being held in a “private house”. She is back at home with her family.

Terror attack in Jerusalem
*A Border Policeman was stabbed and is in critical condition near a light rail train stop (Shivtei Yisrael) in central Jerusalem. The terrorists was shot and killed.
*There have been a number of missile attacks from the terrorists in Gaza in the last few hours including a volley of 5 missiles at our neighborhood here in Ashdod.
2 More Horrific Pieces of News from October 7
*Shani Louk, the young girl who was stripped naked, raped, and tied on the back of a pickup truck and paraded through Gaza to the cheering crowds is dead. From the outset, it was believed that she had been shot in the head after her gruesome abuse, but the HamISIS barbarians in Gaza issued a statement declaring that she was alive and being cared for in a hospital.
It was just another monstrous lie by the monsters in Gaza.
*A video that was made by the terrorists as they rampaged through one of the kibbutzes on October 7 shows that the terrorists grabbed a baby from its mother’s arms, stuck it in the oven and cooked it, while raping the mother and eventually killing her and the father who was forced to watch it all.
Pure evil.
The night was not as quiet as we thought.
The morning statement from the IDF spokesman:
“The IDF continued during the night to expand ground operations in the Gaza Strip.
In clashes with terrorists in the Gaza Strip, IDF fighters eliminated dozens of terrorists who barricaded themselves in buildings and tried to attack the forces. During one of the incidents, an aircraft directed by the fighters in the field attacked a meeting building of the terrorist organization Hamas, with over 20 terrorists in it.
During the night, IDF fighters in the Gaza Strip identified armed terrorists and an anti-tank missile was about to be launched in the area of “Azhar” University in the Gaza Strip and directed a fighter jet that attacked them.
In addition, in the last day, about 600 targets were attacked, including weapons warehouses, hiding places and gatherings of Hamas operatives, and anti-tank positions.”

Compared to the Saturday night, last night was relatively quiet. This morning, there is no news about what took place overnight.
In the South
The IDF is currently attacking HamISIS facilities in the Jabaliya section of northern Gaza. We can hear the bomb blasts here in Ashdod.
In the North
Two Islamic Jihad terrorists who tried to infiltrate from Lebanon were killed.
In Judea and Samaria
The firefight that erupted in Jenin last night continues. As of this hour 4 terrorists are reported killed.
A student from Malawi, who had worked with an Israeli health volunteer in his country battling AIDS, came up to us as we walked down the street in the UC-Davis Picnic Day Parade and wanted to carry the Israeli flag.
