UPDATE 8:00 PM
An unbearable tragedy.
Three hostages were inadvertently killed by IDF troops in Shujayieh. The three were running toward soldiers and were mistaken for terrorists. All three have been identified, but only two have had their names released: Samer Talalka from Nir Am and Yotam Haim of Kfar Aza.
UPDATE 5 PM
The Quote of the Day
“It wasn’t Hamas that slaughtered us. It was the Palestinians. There is no separation between Hamas and the Palestinians in Gaza. I was wrong all these years? . . . What they did was not human.”
Irit Lahav, Peace Activist from Nir Oz from an interview.
Click here to watch her interview.
I was thinking about this today as a huge pro-HamISIS demonstration took place in Shechem (Nablus). A well-respected commentator issued this statement after watching the demonstrators:
“When will the world understand that Hamas is the Palestinians and the Palestinians are Hamas? They support terror, and they want to destroy us. They educate their children to kill us and pay the families of those who do!”
In what has become a tragically consistent refrain . . .
Two more soldiers have fallen in defense of Israel:
Maj. (res.) Tomer Shlomo Myara, 28, from Netanya, a fighter in the 710th Engineering Battalion was killed today in a battle in the north of the Gaza.
Maj.(res.) Shay Uriel Pizem, 23, from Kibbutz Ein HaNtziv, a tank commander in the 9th Battalion, the Iron Trace Formation (401), was killed today in a battle in the southern Gaza.
And the bodies of two more hostages murdered in Gaza have been recovered:
Sgt. Ron Sherman, 19, served as a coordination and liaison officer in the Gaza Police Force.
Cpl. Nick Beiser, 19, from Be’er Sheva, served as a driver in the “MTC” (Directorate of Coordination and Liaison) of the Gaza Division.
Both Sgt. Sherman and Cpl. Beiser were taken hostage on October 7, subsequently filmed alive in Gaza, and now have been found dead by IDF forces and returned to Israel for burial.

In the Red Sea
The Houthis in Yemen have attacked 4 ships today–three of which they say were headed for Israel-the fourth toward Saudi Arabia. The latest attack was in the Straits of Bab El Mandab off the coast of Mocca.
The Evil That Is HamISIS
We have already reported here at OneIsrael how HamISIS ordered hundreds of fake dolls from China to propagate the idea that children are being killed in Gaza. Now comes a new technique to lure our soldiers into ambushes. HamISIS has created dolls that cry in Hebrew, connected them to speakers, and positioned them in tunnel shafts.
Bringing in Foreign Workers
It took October 7, but it appears that the government has gotten the message. Hundreds of new agricultural workers from Malawi arrived along the border today to harvest the crops of farmers. No more Palestinians.
UPDATE 9 AM
Light Bombs Fired Over Khan Younis Last Night
In The Shape Of A Chanukkiah!
On the Ground in Gaza
*Another soldier has fallen in Gaza. Sgt. Shmuel Aradi (19) from Hatzor, a fighter in the 603 Engineering Battalion.
*The body of another hostage, Elia Toledano (28), has been recovered by fighters from the 551st Brigade. It appears that to some degree the rescue of hostages is unfortunately becoming the recovery of hostage bodies.
The IDF Casualty Summary This Morning
446 soldiers, policemen, and first responders have fallen since 6:30 am on October 7. This number includes 117 soldiers who have fallen in the Gaza operation (329 of the soldiers, policemen, and first responders died on October 7).

Divine Judgment?
Turkish legislator Hasan Bitmez delivered a fiery speech in the Turkish Parliament a few days ago in which he attacked Israel. He also criticized Turkey for not doing more to help HamISIS: “We can perhaps hide from our conscience but not from history.”
He concluded: “Divine judgment will avenge on Israel!”
Whereupon he dropped to the floor with a massive heart attack.
He died last night.
