UPDATE 5:00 PM

On the Ground in the South

*The IDF has just posted these numbers:

560 soldiers, police, and first responders have been killed since the beginning of the war. This number includes 223 who have died in the Gaza ground operation.

Currently there are 378 IDF soldiers hospitalized: 35 seriously wounded, 240 moderately so, and 103 mildly wounded. A total of 2,797 soldiers have been wounded in the war.

*Another hostage has been declared dead: Israeli policeman Ran Gueli was killed on October 7th and his body is being held by HamISIS. May his memory be for a blessing.

*The IDF spokesman’s latest:

“In the last day, the fighters of the 401st Brigade combat team operated in the northern area of the Gaza Strip and as part of a number of battles they waged with armed men, they eliminated over 15 terrorists from the terrorist organization Hamas.

In a major raid carried out by the fighters on one of the terrorist infrastructures located inside a school in the area, about ten operatives of the Islamic Jihad who used the school as a hiding place were arrested. In addition, the fighters located five rockets ready for launch in the area and destroyed them.

Also, the forces of the battle team of the Nahal Brigade attacked and eliminated over ten armed terrorists in the area of the center of the Gaza Strip, in less than an hour. Later, the fighters eliminated more armed terrorists operating in the area.

In the Fati Shati area in the north of the Gaza Strip, the fighters of the 5th Brigade combat team together with the Air Force forces eliminated armed terrorists who were operating closely to our forces in the area and posed a threat to them. In addition, the fighters searched military buildings in the area and found many weapons, along with documents and military equipment of the terrorist organization Hamas.

During the activity of the paratrooper brigade’s combat team forces in West Khan Yunis, the brigade’s attack cell detected a terrorist joining an armed terrorist squad that was moving near the fighters. Upon detection, the attack cell directed an aircraft that attacked and eliminated the terrorist squad.

In another activity in the area, the fire center of the 98th Division, together with the Air Force forces, attacked a military structure that was used by a terrorist cell of the terrorist organization Hamas to carry out ambushes against the IDF forces.”

*Continued outrageous action: the IDF–acting on orders from our imbecilic government–has declared the Nitsana Crossing as a closed military area in order to stop protesters from blocking “humanitarian” trucks entering HamISIS Gaza. Meanwhile, protesters were able to make it to the Kerem Shalom Crossing where they clashed with police as they tried to stop more trucks from supplying aid to the enemy. Numerous protesters were “detained.”

*Talk about a “humanitarian” scam. As we have previously reported, most of the fuel being transported into Gaza is coming from an Egyptian company with close ties to Egyptian President Sisi. Now comes news that the Egyptian government is charging “charity organizations” $5000 for each truck that enters Gaza.

*If you can believe this, it has been revealed that the government has decided that IDF soldiers will begin distributing “humanitarian” aid.

*Another brigade (Brigade 5 of the Reserves–formerly the Nahal Brigade) has been pulled out of Gaza as the drawdown of forces continues.

*The IDF eliminated a senior finance official of Islamic Jihad in Rafah:

The remains of the car after it was hit.

On the Ground in the North

*An anti-tank missile fired from Lebanon hit a house in Metula. Fortunately, the residents of the house had moved south a few weeks ago. Other missiles have hit Ya’ara and Arab Al-Aramshe during the day.

*IDF forces that were housed in border communities are pulling out in hopes that residents will return (a highly unlikely possibility). They will be housed elsewhere in the north.
