UPDATE 9:00 PM

An eerie Shabbat quiet has descended on Israel. No people are in the park and no cars are on the street. All television channels continue to warn of an impending attack from Iran. One report suggests the attack will come in the next hour.

Television channels in Iran have been broadcasting a propaganda film showing Iranian missiles hitting two targets: Ben Gurion Airport and the port here in Ashdod.

More than 50 missiles have been fired out of Lebanon toward northern Israel in the last two hours.

That’s all for this update. We will publish again if the situation warrants.

The Warnings Continue

Various news outlets warn of an impending Iranian attack during the next 24-48 hours targeting somewhere in northern or southern Israel. As vague as this warning is, the U.S. Embassy has issued an alert to all U.S. citizens in Israel to remain in central Israel.

The Quote of the Evening

“We have sacrificed the most precious of all. The cessation of hostilities is a gift to our enemy and the preparation of the ground for another disaster. I call on the members of the Cabinet from here to state clearly that the fighting will not stop. The government must show determination to destroy Hamas and bring back the abductees. The people of Israel have hope despite the disaster. We will rise from Israeli strength and from unity.”

Spokesman for the “Bereaved Families” Itzik Buntzel, the father of fighter Amit Buntzel who fell in Gaza, speaking at the “Victory Rally” near Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s residence on Gaza Street in Jerusalem last night.

UPDATE 10:00 AM

A Hostage Update

*HamISIS held 5 Israeli hostages before October 7–of whom 2 are confirmed as dead.

*The government now lists that 129 “hostages” taken on October 7th remain in Gaza. 34 of these hostages have now been declared dead. Their bodies remain in Gaza.

*This means that at best there may be 95 living hostages remaining in Gaza.

*In any case, of the 95, fourteen are Israeli women:

Naama Levy 19, Noa Argamani 26, Romi Gonen 23, Arbel Yehud 28, Carmel Gat 39, Eden Yerushalmi 24, Doron Steinbrecher 30, Liri Elbag 18, Daniela Gilboa 19, Shiri Bibas 32, Karina Ariev 19, Amit Buskila 28, Agam Berger 19, and Emily Damari 27.

HamISIS has already announced that one of these 14, Shiri Bibas (along with her two children), is dead, but Israel has not confirmed this.

*Also in the 95, there are supposedly 10 foreign nationals: 8 Thai citizens, 1 Nepali citizen, and 1 French-Mexican citizen.

So if we do the math, subtracting 14 and 10 from the 95 possible living hostages, this leaves 71 possibly live “Israeli” hostages–virtually all of whom are young men.

*However, Israeli and U.S. intel reportedly believe that in actuality only about 50 of these 95 are alive–which explains the “difficulty” that HamISIS has in coming up with a list. It is believed that most of those who have died did so on October 7th (their dead bodies were brought to Gaza) or shortly thereafter when they died of their wounds or were murdered.

On the Ground in Gaza

*All night and continuing this morning the Nahal Brigade of Division 162 has been engaged in heavy fighting supported by air strikes and artillery in the Nuseirat neighborhood of Gaza .

*Elsewhere in Gaza, the IAF eliminated Radoan Radoan, the HamISIS commander of the Jabaliya police in northern Gaza in a targeted attack on his house.

*In another targeted attack, a joint operation eliminated Yacob Jaber Netzer head of HamISIS financing of Hamas’s military activity in Rafah.

In Judea and Samaria

The IDF eliminated Muhammad Rasul Darjama, the head of the HamISIS battalion in Tubas.

Stay tuned for another update later today.

Our OneIsrael Campaign For Our Soldiers

IDF soldiers on the ground in Gaza and in the north have indicated that they urgently need more basic supplies and armaments.

The IDF ombudsman reported last month that there has been a 265% increase in the number of incidents in which soldiers are short of combat equipment and basic protective gear.
