The Quote of the Day

“Together with other free peoples, we are now fighting to maintain our right to live among our world neighbors in freedom, in common decency, without fear of assault.”

Whom do you think said these words?

Yesterday, your humble servant was at the magnificent WWII Museum in New Orleans. The quotation above was on one of the walls near the entrance. It was said by President Franklin Roosevelt–but it struck me how appropriate those words are to Israel’s fight today.

         OneIsrael’s Campaign For Our Soldiers

IDF soldiers on the ground need basic protective gear, armaments, and supplies more than ever now that they are in Rafah and engaged in incredibly dangerous action elsewhere.

OneIsrael is now engaged in a campaign to help protect our soldiers. This campaign is coming to an end in two weeks on Shavuot.

Please consider donating to our campaign by clicking on the donate button in the right hand column on this page. All donations go directly to our soldiers.

Thank you to those of you who have already contributed to the protection of our brave men and women in uniform; we need $3000 more dollars to reach our goal of $10,000!

May Their Memories Be For A Blessing

Three more soldiers have fallen:

L-R: Yedida Azugi, Diego Harsaj. and Eliya Hilel.

L-R: Yedida Azugi, Diego Harsaj. and Eliya Hilel.

Sgt. Yedidya Azugi, 20 from Revava, fell in a battle in northern Gaza.

Sgt. Eliya Hilel, 20 years old from Tel Zion, and Sgt. Diego Harsaj 20 from Tel Aviv, were murdered by a Palestinian terrorist who ran over them just outside of Shechem. Both were fighters in the Kfir Brigade’s Nahshon Battalion. Shortly afterwards, the terrorist turned himself in to the PLO “police” where he now disgustingly sits in “protective custody.”

In a possibly related event . . . shortly after news of this car-ramming attack in Israel yesterday, a Pakistani Muslim immigrant tried to run over Jewish schoolchildren in Brooklyn while shouting “I am going to kill all the Jews.” No children were injured, the terrorist was captured.

On the Ground in Gaza

The IDF has now taken control of the entire Philadelphi Axis–the strip of land in Gaza that runs along the border between Egypt and Rafah. In doing so, the IDF is now focusing on destroying the dozens of smuggling tunnels HamISIS has depended on for weapons resupply. Intense fighting continues in Jabaliya.

On the Ground In Judea and Samaria

Another stabbing attack targeting our soldiers was thwarted this morning at the Ofer Checkpoint.  No Israelis were wounded. The Palestinian terrorist was shot and killed.

On the Ground in the North

Hezbollah continues to pummel northern Israel with suicide drones and missiles.

Drone attacks have taken place today at Beit Hillel, Kfar Giladi, Metulla, Manara, Kiryat Shmona, and Margaliot.

Missile attacks have targeted Betzet, Shlomi, Matat, and Kiryat Shmona.

On the Political Scene

The ever-abominable Benny Gantz began an active campaign today to bring down the government and force new elections. This comes as no surprise to anyone because Gantz and the Bidenites in Washington have long been in cahoots–and Joe Biden has long wanted to see the ousting of PM Netanyahu.

Gantz’s party chairman in the Knesset introduced a bill to dissolve the Knesset and have new elections by October.

It is difficult to see how this proposal will go anywhere. Remember that Gantz and his party are only part of an emergency government. Even if Gantz leaves, the same Coalition exists that existed before Gantz joined the Emergency Government and War Cabinet.

That government consists of Likud, Shas, United Torah Judaism, Religious Zionism, and Otzma Yehudi–and none of them would want to risk a new election before the scheduled one in November 2026.

But one never knows what will happen in Israeli politics.

More IDF Insanity

Despite continuing reports of how Palestinian terrorists from October 7 are sexually harassing and even abusing female prison guards, the IDF assigned 100 soldiers to duty guarding the terrorists–70 of them women.

And so it goes until our next update . . .
