Special News
We here at OneIsrael join in the hope for former U.S. President Trump’s recovery from the assassination attempt at the campaign rally in Pennsylvania. Israelis have been glued to their televisions over the last 7 hours awaiting news of Trump’s condition and exactly what happened.
On The Hostage Front
According to Egyptian officials, the hostage release/ceasefire talks are now indefinitely frozen. Egypt, like most other Arab countries in the area, has roundly denounced the attack Israel carried out yesterday at Al-Mawasi.
On the Ground in Gaza
It remains unknown at this hour whether Mohammed Deif, the military commander of HamISIS and arch terrorist was killed in yesterday’s massive attack at Al-Mawasi. Israel has attempted to assassinate Deif many times because of his terror activities. It is believed that Deif was the architect of the October 7 massacres.
In reality, it may never be known whether Deif is dead or not. The huge bombs that obliterated the compound (either five 1000 or 2000 lb JDAM bombs) where he apparently was left nothing but a enormous empty crater from which bodies are only now beginning to be pulled out.
An anonymous HamISIS official said this morning that if Deif is dead, Yahya Sinwar’s brother Mohammed will take his place.
The known dead from the massive Al-Mawasi attack yesterday:
Rafa Salami: the Khan Younis HamaISIS Brigade Commander. A HamISIS spokesman confirmed to Saudi Arabia: “His body was removed from the scene of the attack and he was immediately buried.”
Osama Nofal: Director General of the HamISIS “Ministry of Economy” and major supplier of funds for terror.
Abd-Latif Ryan (Abu Anas), a senior member of Hamas and deputy head of the faculty at the Islamic University in Gaza.
Ezz Al-Din Ibrahim. This terrorist became a “hero” in Gaza for his involvement in the murders and kidnappings of the Israeli female soldiers in the observation points on the Gaza border on October 7. In particular, he was videotaped abusing hostage Daniela Gilboa. He was killed at Al-Mawasi.
Another terrorist killed yesterday:
“Tiger” Hamida. Hamida was serving 6 life sentences for murders he committed when he was released in the infamous Gilad Shalit deal back in 2010. He was killed yesterday in an IAF strike on a mosque in western Gaza.
On the Ground in the North
An intense Hezbollah barrage missiles just targeted multiple locations in the north including Idmit, Eilon, Goren, Gornot HaGalil, Hanita, Ya’ara, Arab al-Aramshe.
IDF spokesperson speaking last night:
“A short time ago, the IAF attacked Hezbollah field commander Abbas Kassem who was staying in the area of Kfar Tabnit in southern Lebanon.
Following the alerts that were activated in the north of the country at 19:15, about 15 launches were detected that crossed the territory of Lebanon, the air defense fighters successfully intercepted most of them.
As a result of interceptions during the launches, an IDF female soldier was critically wounded, another soldier was moderately wounded and two other soldiers were slightly wounded. The soldiers were evacuated to receive medical treatment at a hospital, their families were informed.
A short time later, additional alerts were activated in the north of the country, as part of which eight launches were identified that crossed from Lebanese territory to the Kiryat Shmona area.”
Four more Israelis were wounded in the Kiryat Shmona attack mentioned above, and evacuated to Ziv Hospital.
On the Ground in Judea and Samaria
Palestinian terrorists opened fire on an Israeli vehicle near Mitzpe Eliyahu in Samaria. No Israelis were physically wounded; the terrorists escaped.
On the Ground in the Neighborhood
