May Their Memories Be For A Blessing

Cpl. Moti Reva

Cpl. Moti Reva

Cpl.(res.) Moti Reva, 37 years old from Shani Yishuv, fought as a sniper operator in the Givati Brigade and fell in battle in southern Gaza. He was killed when the D-9 bulldozer he was in was hit by an anti-tank missile.

Sgt. Noam Doak

Sgt. Noam Douek

Staff Sgt. Noam Douek, 20, from Kiryat Motzkin, a soldier in the 9th Battalion of the 401st Armored Corps Brigade, was killed on Thursday in Rafah. He apparently died from poisonous gas emitted by a defective IDF generator.

324 IDF soldiers have now fallen since October 27 when the Gaza ground offensive began.

The Photo of the Day

After PM Netanyahu’s bravura speech to the U.S. Congress, he then met with President Biden for 90 minutes yesterday and Vice President and presumptive Democrat nominee Kamala Harris for 45 minutes:

Apparently the meeting with Harris did not go well.

Apparently the meeting with Harris did not go well.

After the meeting was over, Harris “dramatically” declared that she “would not be silent” about the horrific situation for Palestinians in Gaza and that a hostage deal/ceasefire must happen immediately. This statement apparently ran counter to the statement that the two agreed on before facing the cameras.

This morning, the prime minister’s office has even issued a statement that Israel hopes that her statement–which creates space between Israel and the U.S.– will not jeopardize the newest hostage deal/ceasefire that Israel is about to propose.

On the Ground in Gaza

**A Follow-Up To The Rescue of the 5 Hostage Bodies

The IDF was led to the location of the tunnel containing the hostage bodies by a captured HamISIS prisoner. The bodies were in a room in the 200-meter long tunnel 20 meters underground.

The tunnel itself was under a “humanitarian safe area” that the IDF had established for Gazan residents.

It turns out that the missiles fired at southern Israel two days ago were fired from a “humanitarian area” in Khan Younis.

Those missiles fortunately fell short and hit the UNRWA ‘Al-Qarara School. Two Palestinians were killed and numerous others injured.

On the Ground in the North

The IDF Spokesman this morning:

“A short while ago, the IAF struck a Hezbollah military structure in the area of Aitaroun and Hezbollah terror infrastructure in the area of Ayta ash Shab in southern Lebanon. Moreover, IDF artillery fired to remove threats in multiple areas in other areas of southern Lebanon.”

And so it goes here on Friday morning in Israel

until our next update . . .
