On the Ground in Gaza
This morning at 8:00 am, the IDF called for the evacuation of the neighborhoods of southern Khan Younis.
This evacuation follows extensive IDF attacks yesterday west of Gaza City, in Al-Bureij, Tel El Hawa, Absan, Deir Al Balach, Nuseirat, and in Sheikh Radwan.
The latest from the IDF spokesman:
“The forces of the Gaza Division have been carrying out raids in Gaza since the beginning of the fighting. In the last few days, the forces of the Northern Brigade raided terrorist centers in the Beit Hanoun area and destroyed an underground route in the Beit Lahia area.
The forces, in cooperation with the engineering unit of the Gaza Division and the Yehlam unit, destroyed an attack tunnel of the terrorist organization Hamas in the Beit Lahia area. The length of the route that was destroyed is over a kilometer and leaves the heart of a residential neighborhood. Along the route were found weapons, anti-tank missiles, electrical infrastructure and means for terrorists to stay for a long time.
In another activity, fighters of the Netzah Yehuda Battalion under the command of the northern brigade of the Gaza Division, operated in the Beit Hanon area in an area that was used by Hamas to carry out terrorist operations against our forces. The fighters destroyed anti-tank positions, trapped buildings and other terrorist infrastructure.”
