The Idiotic Quote of the Morning

“We will respond strongly to Hezbollah, but not such a response as to start a war.”

“An Israeli security source” speaking to Sky News this morning.

Unbelievable.

Not such a response as to start a war? What planet is this fool living on? Hezbollah has fired more than 7,500 missiles and explosive drones at northern Israel in the last 9 months. Hezbollah deliberately murdered children on a soccer field yesterday in Majdal Shams.  This is not a war?

All of Israel Stands In Solidarity With The Druze

On this sad morning, we all stand with the Druze.

On this sad morning, we all stand with the Druze.

UPDATE 9:00 AM ISRAEL TIME

May Their Memories Be For A Blessing

12 of the 14 children murdered yesterday in the Hezbollah missile attack on a soccer field in Majdal Shams.

12 of the 14 Israeli-Druze children murdered yesterday in the Hezbollah missile attack on a soccer field in Majdal Shams.

The photographs of two children are missing because they died in surgery last night. 4 more children who underwent surgery are in critical condition.

Caskets of some of the children being carried through the streets of Majdal Shams last night.

The missile that killed the children was a precision Falaq-1 type rocket manufactured in Iran with a warhead weighing more than fifty kilos–that only Hezbollah has. The missile was fired from the Shebaa Hezbollah outpost which is commanded by Ali Muhammad Yahya.

Of course when news of the massacre got out yesterday, Hezbollah quickly disavowed any connection with the attack. Shortly thereafter, however, the leader of the Druze in Syria issued this statement: “We see what happened as a Hezbollah declaration of war against the Druze. We have no right to exist if we do not act now in a way that removes the threat of Iran/Hezbollah from all of us once and for all.”

During the night, the IAF attacked 7 areas in southern Lebanon, but the real response is awaiting PM Netanyahu’s arrival back in Israel and the cabinet meeting tonight.

We also mourn the loss of another IDF soldier this morning:

Sgt.

Sgt. Yonatan Aharon Greenblatt

Sgt. Yonatan Aharon Greenblatt, 21, from Beit Shemesh, a fighter in the Shaked Battalion, Givati Brigade, died of his wounds after being severely wounded on July 20, 2024 in a battle in southern Gaza. Two days ago, we relayed the family’s plea for prayers, but after a heroic week-long struggle he passed away last night.

Greenblatt, a graduate of the Neve Dekalim Hesder yeshiva, served as a fighter from Battalion 52, in the Iron Footprints (401) formation; he was seriously injured by an anti-tank missile in the building where he was staying in Rafah.

If You Can Believe This

This morning in the Tel Aviv District Court, the egregious prosecutor is pursuing cases against 11 IDF soldiers:

1 . Sa’ar Ofir: suspect in the murder of a Nohva terrorist on October 7.

2. Yoni Cohen: suspected of murdering a Nohva terrorist on October 7.

3. Yisrael Biton: suspect of the murder of a Nohva terrorist on October 7.

4. Akiva Kaufman: suspected of murdering a Nohva terrorist on October 7.

5. Israel Peretz: suspected of murdering a Nohva terrorist on October 7.

6. T. C:  an unnamed policeman, a suspect in the murder of a Nohva terrorist on October 7.

7. Israel Hajabi: use of force on Nohva terrorists – held for a month and a half in detention, and not released to house arrest because “he is dangerous to terrorists.”

8. Guy Yashcharov: suspected of exercising undue force on Nohva terrorists.

9. Ohad Marin: suspected of exercising undue force on Nohva terrorists.

10. Bar Avraham: driver of D9 bulldozer, suspected of running over a terrorist.

11. Yosef Abu Alkiyan of the Bedouin Gadsar group: being held because he called the terrorists of Hamas  Nohva “cockroaches”.

Has Israel gone completely crazy? Brave soldiers, an intrepid bulldozer driver, even a Bedouin who called those who murdered his friends “cockroaches”: people who should be praised, not vilified.

And so it goes, for now, here in Israel this morning . . .
