BREAKING NEWS

Arch-terrorist Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas' political arm--and for many, the face of Hamas.

Arch-terrorist Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas’ political arm–and for many, the face of Hamas.

Ismail Haniyeh, the long time political head of Hamas, was assassinated in Tehran last night by persons unknown. Haniyeh had lived a life of luxury for years in Doha, and was in Iran to congratulate the new Iranian president and to undoubtedly shore up Iranian support for Hamas. By the way, Haniyeh was staying at a “guest house” of the Revolutionary Guards when he was killed.

Hezbollah’s military head Fuad Shukar (aka Haj Mohsen) was assassinated last night in the Beirut Hezbollah neighborhood of Dahieh by a drone strike on an apartment.

He was the Hezbollah leader directly responsible for the attack in Majdal Shams several days ago in which 12 Israeli children were murdered when a missile struck their soccer field. He also had a $5 million reward on his head because he organized and directed the attack on the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut in 1983 which killed 241 Marines. The attack last night collapsed an 8-story building. According to Lebanese sources, 60 other people–many of them Hezbollah field commanders–were also killed and wounded.

UPDATE 8:00 AM ISRAEL TIME

May His Memory Be For A Blessing

28-year-old Nir Popko from Kibbutz Gosher was killed yesterday by a direct hit from a rocket fired by Hezbollah. After his kibbutz had evacuated months ago, he stayed in the kibbutz to work; the missile exploded 30 meters from where he was standing.

On the Ground in the North

Hezbollah terrorists fired 4 barrages of missiles at northern Israel including the one that killed Nir Popko. Other locations targeted were: Dafna, Kiryat Shmona, Beit Hillel, Shear Yeshuv, Kfar Giladi, Tel Hai Ma’ayan Baruch, Kfar Yuval, Ghajar, Kibbutz Dan, Snir, Metulla, Manara, Margaliot, Iftach, Mevuot, El Rom, and Kfar Szold.

Already at 7:29 am this morning, Hezbollah terrorists fired missiles at Shear Yishuv.

On the Ground in Gaza

From the IDF Spokesman:

“The 98th Division has completed its recent operational activity against terrorist infrastructure and operatives above and below ground in the area of Khan Yunis. Over the past week, the troops have eliminated over 150 terrorists, dismantled weapons storage facilities, and located large quantities of weapons.

Since the beginning of the war, the 98th Division has dismantled over 100 kilometers of underground tunnel routes, a key part of Hamas’ terrorist infrastructure inside the Gaza Strip.”

On the Ground in Judea and Samaria

Palestinian terrorists opened fire from a passing vehicle at an Israeli vehicle between Kiryat Arba and Beit Anon on Road 60 this morning. No Israelis were wounded; the terrorists escaped.

A Followup to the 9 Reservists Being “Detained”

You will recall that 9 reservists are being detained by the Military Prosecutor for allegedly abusing an October 7th terrorist.

The case has caused an outcry with fellow reservists breaking into the IDF base where their cohorts are being held.

Yesterday, the head of the Military Police admitted to a Knesset hearing that his office had contacted 5 terrorists in Gaza to gain evidence against the soldiers.

Just unbelievable.

Despite the source of the evidence, a military court ordered that the 9 reservists remain in detention until Sunday.

Just unbelievable.
