UPDATE 9:00 AM ISRAEL TIME

We still wait for the Iranian/Hezbollah/Houthi/Iraqi attack. Last night, the head of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah even said in his speech that Hezbollah is playing a psychological game with Israelis by not retaliating immediately for the assassination of Fuad Shakr. By not doing so, he said, Israel is kept in a perpetual state of stress.

That, of course, is a gross overstatement. Israelis are going about their daily lives–shopping, going out to eat, swimming at beach–all of course keeping in mind their distance to the nearest bomb shelter, but that knowledge is permanently ingrained in every Israeli anyway regardless of Hezbollah.

Yesterday the attacks came from every direction:

On the Ground in the North

Hezbollah launched 13 barrages missiles and exploding drones against northern Israel all day. In one attack on a military base north of Akko, two soldiers were seriously wounded.

On the Ground in Gaza

HamISIS launched a missile attack on the Ashkelon/Sderot region last night at 20:58 pm. No Israelis were wounded. The IAF immediately attacked the launch site, and later ordered the population of northern Gaza to move to the center.

On the Ground in Israel (Jordan Valley)

From the IDF Spokesman:

“An IDF force from unit 636, which carried out a proactive activity near the settlement of Bekaot in the Bekaa and Emekim division, eliminated an armed terrorist who tried to carry out a shooting attack a short time ago. There are no casualties to our forces.”

In the Jerusalem Area

A passenger bus that arrived at the tunnel checkpoint from the direction of Yosh to Jerusalem was detained for inspection. During the stop, one of the passengers got off the bus and attacked a female security guard with a screwdriver. She was slightly wounded; the terrorist was killed.

And so it goes in Israel this morning; who knows where the next attack will take place and by whom?
