May Their Memories Be For A Blessing

Gideon Peri, brutally murdered yesterday.

Gideon Peri, brutally murdered yesterday.

Gideon, a 38-year-old security guard in the Bar-On Industrial Area near Kedumim in Samaria, was hammered to death in his head by a Palestinian terrorist–who had a permit to work in the same industrial area.

The terrorist apparently came up to Peri from behind and hit him in the head with a hammer. Peri tried to fight him off but the terrorist continued to hit him. When Peri finally fell to the floor, the terrorist grabbed Peri’s gun and escaped. There has been an intense manhunt underway since the attack.

Gideon leaves behind his wife Ella and 3 children:  Yifa 15, Alma 11, and Regev 8.

He served an ICT officer in the IDF and had been serving in the IDF reserves from the beginning of the war in northern Israel and in Gaza.

He was eulogized at his funeral last night:

“Working quietly and powerfully, Gideon  financed and worked with his own hands for many projects for accessibility and assistance to the weak and underprivileged.”

“He was an amazing friend, unusually funny. First to help everywhere. A true friend who arrives anywhere and at any time, solves any problem, talented, an entrepreneur, dreamer and fighter.”

Yesterday, the IDF announced the death of Maj. Yoel Goldich from the community of Nof in the Golan.

The IDF described that Maj. Goldich died from “an unexpected cardiac event.”

No photo or information is available about Maj. Goldich at this time–only this obituary notice/funeral announcement:

The Suicide Bomber in Tel Aviv Last Night

The widely circulated photos this morning of the suicide bomber whose bomb in the backpack exploded prematurely blowing him to pieces.

The widely circulated photos this morning of the suicide bomber whose bomb in the backpack exploded prematurely blowing him to pieces. He was on Lahi Street in south Tel Aviv.

Apparently the terrorist shaved his beard, put on a pair of fake glasses, and put on blue jeans and a t-shirt. It remains unclear how authorities know this and what his target was. There was both a synagogue and a soccer game nearby.

The terrorist has apparently yet to be identified; pieces of him are being analyzed for DNA.

The bottom line is that this failed attack could mark a egregious turn in the battle against Palestinian terror with the return of suicide bombers.

On the Ground in Gaza

The IDF Spokesman:

“IDF troops continue operational activity in the area of Khan Yunis and Deir El-Balah.

The IAF struck targets in the area from which the launches were fired toward Nirim and destroyed loaded launchers in the area of Khan Yunis.

Over the past day, the troops eliminated terrorists and located a large amount of weapons, including grenades, Kalashnikovs, and explosives.

IDF troops continue precise, intelligence-based operational activity in Rafah below and above ground. Over the past day, the troops eliminated approximately 20 terrorists.

The troops eliminated armed terrorists, struck terror infrastructure, and located weapons, including machine guns, Kalashnikovs, grenades, military equipment, and more.”

Blinken’s Outrageous Arrival In Israel

Try to wrap your mind around this.

Yesterday, Hamas rejected the latest U.S. proposal made in Doha for a ceasefire/hostage release. Just as it has done for every proposal that has been previously made.

So who came to Israel today?

U.S. Secretary of State Blinken. And why?

To try to wring more concessions out of Israel and to ensure (according to reports this morning) that Israel does not do anything to “disrupt the negotiation process”.

Sometimes, your humble servant just wants to howl at the world.

Blinken comes to pressure Israel to make concessions that will make us much more vulnerable to terrorism. One cannot help but think that this pressure is all in the name of enhancing the standing of Kamala Harris among the so-called “progressives” in the Democrat Party.

Those anti-Israel “progressives” who support Hamas are set to have huge demonstrations against Harris at the Democrat National Convention this week.
