UPDATE 9:00 AM ISRAEL TIME

The Disingenuous Quote of the Day

“All parties are represented in the talks of the work teams now in Cairo, including Hamas.”

John Kirby, White House National Security spokesman

Within an hour of Kirby’s statement, Hamas issued this statement:

“Hamas does not participate in any way in the negotiations in Cairo.”

The amount disinformation coming out of Cairo is mind-numbing as the Bidenites try desperately to arm twist Israel into a deal before the November election in the U.S.

In the last 48 hours there has been a flood of reportage to the tune that “Israel has agreed in principle to leave the Rafah Crossing and Philadelphi Corridor” and “Israel has agreed to reduce the IDF posts in the Philadelphi Corridor from eight to five.”

PM Netanyahu’s office has already issued a statement this morning that all the talk of Israeli concessions are nothing more than fake news.

The War in the North

IDF Chief of Staff Halevi issued this laughable statement yesterday: “Our mission is clear…return the residents of the North to their homes safely, as quickly as possible.”

The simple fact is that the northern communities have been bombed by Hezbollah since last October with more than 10,000 missiles and drones. They have been largely evacuated. No major effort was made to stop this steady rain of what the IDF now likes to call “projectiles” until it appeared that Tel Aviv would be attacked.  Take a look at what happened yesterday after the IAF sent 100 planes to bomb Hezbollah launch sites in southern Lebanon:

(14:16) Idmit, Hanita, Arab Al Aramshe, Zarit, Shomera

(17:53) Malkia

(18:36) Iftach, Mevuot Hermon

(18:40) Ayelet HaShachar

(18:42) Gadot, Hulata, Ayelet HaShachar, Amuka, Yesud Mama’ala, Mishmar HaYarden, Sdeh Eliezer

(18:59) Hanita, Shlomi, Ya’ara, Metzuba, Avdon, Betzet, Neveh Ziv, Rosh HaNikra, Idmit, Achziv, Eilon, Goren, Gornot HaGalil, Arab Al-Aramshe

(20:58) Netua

This morning the steady rain continues with Manara already being hit by Hezbollah missiles at 7:52 am.

All of this seems very familiar to those of us living in southern Israel because it is what we have put up with for years. Before the current war in Gaza, we were hit by missiles all the time until finally it got to a point at which a mini-war would take place. Then the missiles would stop for a few hours, and then begin again.

The IDF Spokesman speaking last night:

“Earlier today, fighter jets attacked a military structure and terrorist infrastructure of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the areas of Mis al-Jabal, al-Khyam, Hajir and Bint Jabal in southern Lebanon.”

As we wrote yesterday, the situation in the north has completely returned to what it was prior to two days ago.

On the Ground in Gaza

It has been another sleepless night here in Ashdod which means that it has been much worse further south in Ashkelon, Sderot, and border communities as the IDF continues to pound the Deir Al Balach and Zeytoun neighborhoods.

Sleepless by the way is not offered as a complaint. It is comforting to know that each one of those IAF bombs is eliminating more terrorists whose sole mission in life is to kill us.

From the IDF Spokesman:

“Sunday night Hamas launched a rocket approximately 25 meters from the area of a school in Khan Yunis toward Rishon LeTsiyon in central Israel. IDF troops identified the source of the launch and directed the IAF to precisely strike the launcher from which the rocket was fired, alongside additional terrorist infrastructure used by the terrorists in the area. Following the strike on the launcher, secondary explosions were identified, indicating the presence of additional rockets.

IDF troops operating in the areas of Khan Yunis and the outskirts of Deir El Balah eliminated dozens of terrorists and located large quantities of weapons, including explosives, AK-47s and mortar shells. In one incident, IDF troops eliminated a terrorist who fired an anti-tank missile toward them. No injuries were reported.

Furthermore, over the past day in the area of Tel al-Sultan, IDF soldiers eliminated dozens of terrorists, dismantled terrorist infrastructure, and located weapons.

During IDF operational activity in the central Gaza, troops continued to dismantle terrorist infrastructure, eliminate  terrorists, and locate underground terrorist infrastructure and weapons. In various incidents, the troops eliminated with tank fire numerous terrorist cells that operated in proximity to the troops and posed a threat to them.”

On the Ground in Judea and Samaria

Overnight, the IDF attacked a Hamas headquarters in the Nur al Shams Palestinian settlement near Tulkarm. As a result of the attack, 5 terrorists were killed. Here were three of them:

These three were "children" who were released last November in the first ceasefire/hostage release "deal." They immediately returned to terrorism. The photo source is the Hamas website.

These three were 19-year-old “children” who were released last November in the first ceasefire/hostage release “deal.” They immediately returned to terrorism. The photo source is the Hamas website.

Elsewhere in Judea and Samaria, Palestinian terrorists threw an IED at a bus at Kfar Alminiya; a bomb exploded on a bus near Marah Rabah outside of Bethlehem, a child was wounded when the car he was in was attacked on Road 465 near Deir Nizam, and, and, and . . .

And so it goes this morning in Israel . . .
