**There was a double car bomb/shooting attack in Samaria just before midnight last night: one car blew up at the gas station at the Gush Etzion Junction; the other inside Karmei Tzur after the terrorist ran over the security guard there. Four Israelis were wounded–none critically. The terrorists were killed.
The IDF Spokesman on the attack:
“The initial examination of the vehicle explosion at the Gush Etzion gas station indicated that the incident was an attempted car bombing by a terrorist. During the IDF’s response to the attack, the Commander of the Etzion Regional Brigade sustained minor injuries while continuing to lead the troops in the elimination of the terrorist. Additionally, an IDF officer was moderately injured, and a reservist officer responsible for the security in a nearby community sustained minor injuries.
In the incident at the Karmei Zur community, a terrorist infiltrated the compound, prompting the Head of Security to pursue the terrorist by car. During the chase, a collision occurred between the Head of Security’s vehicle and the terrorist’s car, leading to the terrorist being neutralized shortly after. During the confrontation, an explosive device in the terrorist’s car detonated.”
**After a short period of quiet on the northern front after Hezbollah head Hassan Nasrallah said that he was “freezing” the war with Israel, Hezbollah missiles struck Manot, Eilon, Arab al-Aramshe, Goren, Idmit, Ya’ara, Sassa, Dovev, Zivon, and Jish yesterday in addition to a explosivc drone attack at Metulla. Already this morning, there has been more missile fire at Misgav Am (08:57) and Malkia (09:01).
**How can this be allowed to happen? A report last night revealed that “In recent days, security prisoners in Ofer prison began to read Koranic verses aloud in their cells in order to encourage other prisoners and to shout “The Jewish women will be in our hands when Palestine is liberated.” Can you imagine? These are the very prisoners that the Israel High Court of Justice is issuing ruling after ruling to protect.
**After 8.5 years in solitary confinement for a crime which he did not commit after a trial in which the prosecution admitted he was tortured into a confession –a solitary confinement never imposed on any other prisoner in Israeli prisons including the worst of Palestinian terrorists–Amiram Ben Oliel was transferred to the Torah wing of Ayalon Prison yesterday where he can be with other religious Jews. What the Israel “justice” system has done to Amiram is a crime.
**Two Israeli paraOlympians have won gold medals at the Games in Paris: Ami Dedown in the 100 meter swimming freestyle event, and Assaf Yassour in taekwondo. This is the 4th Olympic medal for Ami (he won 3 in Tokyo). Born with cerebral palsy, he is disabled in both his arms and his legs. Kolakevod to our athletes!
