UPDATE 10:00 AM ISRAEL TIME

The Absolutely Sickening Quote of the Day

“The execution of the six abductees calls into question the commitment of Hamas [to a peace deal].”

An “official” in the Biden Administration speaking yesterday

Say what?

“Calls into question”?

“The commitment of Hamas”?

Palestinian Hamas terrorists cold-bloodedly execute 6 Israeli hostages by shooting them in the back of the head, and all the Bidenite can say is that “this calls into question the Hamas commitment”?

Pardon me while I regurgitate my breakfast.

What Hamas did to the six hostages was evidence of the same barbaric mentality that Hamas demonstrated during their massacres on  October 7.

And has demonstrated everyday since.

By the way, reports here this morning are that the Biden Administration may be about to pursue its own deal with Hamas for the release of hostages with American citizenship.

The Photo of the Day and Hostage News

The entrance to the tunnel shaft where the 6 Israelis were shot in the backs of their heads and murdered.

As you cannot tell from the above photo, the tunnel opening (visible at the center-bottom left) was hidden under the floor of a children’s room in Gaza decorated with Mickey Mouse and Snow White.

*More about the condition of the dead hostages was revealed yesterday. For example, Eden Yerushalmi weighed only 36 kilos (79 pounds) when she was shot to death in the head:

Eden

Eden suffered from severe starvation.

*After 334 days, the U.N. Security Council finally deemed the situation of the Israeli hostages worthy of discussion.

Think about that for a moment.

Kidnapped and abused for 334 days, the hostages were not the subject of a single discussion in the U.N. Security Council until now.

But even now, the Council invited the abominable B’Tselem organization to “counterbalance” the discussion by demeaning IDF soldiers and Israel.

*Amazingly, the Israel State Attorney’s Office has yet to file a single charge against any of the October 7 terrorists.

Yes, you read that correctly.

Not one charge.

Israel has sent investigators from Lahav 433 to the U.S. to help the Americans file charges (which they did this week), but incomprehensibly no charges have been filed here.

A Police official declared yesterday:

“They [the Americans] manage to file indictments, at least against senior Hamas officials, and with us – after 11 months of extensive investigation, investigating terrorists, collecting thousands of files and evidence against them, there is not even a single indictment.”

Unbelievable.

On the Ground in Gaza

Here in Ashdod we have been treated since yesterday evening to ongoing booms from bombs dropped in Gaza. Apparently there is a massive combined attack on Khan Younis by planes, helicopters, and artillery.

Additional attacks are continuing in the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood of Rafah.

On the Ground in the North

One Hezbollah missile barrage after another pummeled northern Israel yesterday–more than 100 missiles in total. Several direct hits in Kiryat Shmona destroyed houses.

From the IDF Spokesman:

“Following the sirens that sounded in northern Israel, numerous projectiles fired from Lebanese territory were identified crossing into northern Israel. The IDF Aerial Defense Array successfully intercepted some of the projectiles, and some fell in open areas. A number of projectiles fell in the area of Kiryat Shmona. A number of fires were ignited by fallen projectiles and the Israel Fire and Rescue Services are operating at the scene.”

Some of the fires are still burning in Kiryat Shmona.

In response, the IAF attacked Hezbollah assets in 14 different areas in southern Lebanon including Yatar, Shekhin, Al-Jabin, Ramiya, al-Salhani, Zutar al-Sharqiya, and the Alman-Dir Saryan area.

On the Ground in Judea and Samaria

*Muhammad Zabeidi, son of Zakaria Zabeidi (who escaped from Gilboa Prison last year), along with 5 senior terrorists in Tubas, including the commander of Islamic Jihad in Tubas, were killed in a vehicle attack from the air near Tubas in northwestern Samaria last night.

*An unsurprising report from reserve soldiers in Samaria today discloses that even though they are allowed to shoot infiltrators below the knees, “they are afraid to shoot at the them because an investigation may be opened against them by the Military Prosecutor’s Office.”

The report notes that “a great effort is being made to close the breached seam line in the wall and create a ‘smart fence’; however, hundreds of Palestinians penetrate Israel everyday.”

A smart fence?

Does this remind you of another ‘smart fence” that was disastrously breached on October 7th?

Doesn’t anyone in this country ever learn from history?

And so it goes in Israel this morning . . .
