The Dangerous Quote of the Day

(bolding mine)

The pro-Palestinian voices in Michigan are right . . . Israel certainly has the right to defend itself and the United States will always stand by that, but we cannot allow what happened in Gaza. The people who are talking loudly in Michigan are talking for all the right reasons. This is a humanitarian crisis, it cannot continue.”

Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz in an interview with a public radio station in Michigan yesterday.

This will be the Middle Eastern theme of a Harris-Walz Administration: “the pro-Palestinian voices are right.” No matter if they are waving Hamas, Hezbollah, and PLO flags or not.

The Graphic of the Day

The red patches are areas that have burned as a result of Hezbollah missiles and exploding drones.

The red patches are areas of northern Israel that have burned as a result of Hezbollah missiles and exploding drones.

According to Israeli officials, there have been 790 fires that have scorched 189,000 dunams (46,702 acres).

UPDATE 10:00 AM ISRAEL TIME

On the Ground in the North

From early morning yesterday until early evening, Hezbollah missiles and exploding drones hit northern Israel:

05:16 Hanita

06:32 Goren

13:36 Ramot Naftali

13:39-13:41 Ya’ara, Metzuba, Shlomi, Avdon, Achziv, Arab al-Aramshe, Betzet, Gornot HaGalil, Hanita, Idmit, Goren, Manot, Lehman, Eilon, Rosh HaNikra, Neveh Ziv

13:46 Ramot Naftali

14:08 Dovev

17:11 Alkosh, Fassuta

18:33 Hanita

All told more than 100 missiles and drones hit the northern part of our country, again.

Below are the official figures released yesterday by the IDF concerning the number of missile and drone attacks between January and August (our figures in the right hand column of 9941 include October-December last year as well as so far this month).

August: 1,307
July: 1,091
June: 855
May: 1,000
April: 744
March: 746
February: 534
January: 334

What other country in the world would tolerate such assaults?

And what did we do in response to the missile and drone fire yesterday?

The IDF Spokesman:

“During the night (Thursday), fighter jets of the Air Force attacked a weapons warehouse of the terrorist organization Hezbollah in the area of Layda in southern Lebanon. In addition, military buildings of the organization were attacked in the areas of Aita al-Sha’ab and Yarin in southern Lebanon. During the last day, the IDF fired artillery at several areas in southern Lebanon.”

In short, more responses that have no effect on the continued pulverizing of the north.

On the Ground in Gaza

To no one’s surprise, recently discovered HamISIS documents indicate that Yahya Sinwar planned to smuggle himself, other HamISIS leaders, and Israeli hostages through (or under) the Philadelphi Corridor into the Egyptian Sinai and then on to Iran.

In reality, who knows how many hostages have already been smuggled out of Gaza?

In Judea and Samaria

Wise words from Ozal Vatik, head of the Council of Ancients in Samaria and Yaron Rosenthal, Gush Etzion Council head:

Vatik: “For many months we have been aware of a sharp increase in explosive IED attacks, shooting and throwing of Molotovs and rocks . . . It reminds us of a past reality of difficult scenes from the beginning of the second intifada.

The law of Shechem, Tulkarm, and Qalqilyamust be the law of Khan Yunis and Rafah.

And Israeli communities like Kedumim, Bat Hefer, Kochav Yair and Kfar Saba must be legally treated no different from Tel Aviv – zero tolerance for terrorism and maximum activity and control in the area to prevent tomorrow’s attacks.”

Rosenthal: “One more important thing must be said: where Jewish communities thrive, terror has retreated; where the government suppresses communities, terror increases.”

Once Again, Religious Insanity in Tel Aviv

Barely a month after the municipality of Tel Aviv decided that orthodox Jews may not hold religious services in public areas of the city comes the astonishing news that the City is permitting a three-day Conversion Conference of Jehovah’s Witnesses at the Expo Exhibition Center.

The obvious purpose of the conference is to convert Jews to Christianity with the penultimate event being the baptism of Jewish youth.

Has Tel Aviv gone completely crazy?

In a Jewish state, Jews cannot practice in public, but those of other religions can.
