FINAL UPDATE 8:00 PM ISRAEL TIME

*Since our last update Hezbollah has launched three barrages at northern Israel: Margaliot, Manara (15:55), Ma’ayan Baruch (17:50), Metulla (18:53).

*In a statement to the Knesset Foreign Affairs Committee this afternoon, PM Netanyahu said that he believes that “around half” of the 101 hostages that Israel believes are held by Hamas are still alive.

*In one of the most phenomenally asinine statements that he has ever made (and he has made many), U.N. Secretary General said this afternoon that he is “concerned that Lebanon will become another Gaza”, and that “it is absolutely clear that Israel and Hamas are not interested in a ceasefire agreement.”

What rock has Guterres been living under?

Where was he while Hezbollah was pummeling northern Israel with more than 12,000 missiles and explosive drones over the last 11 months? If he does not want another Gaza in Lebanon, he should do everything to get Hezbollah to cease firing.

And where was Guterres while Hamas was rejecting every ceasefire/hostage release proposal? All it has taken for 11 months for a ceasefire is for Hamas to release our hostages.

Guterres is simply a garden-variety shmuck.

And so we close our blog for today and await what the night brings . . .

UPDATE 12:30 PM ISRAEL TIME

*At 12:13, Hezbollah drones targeted these areas around Metulla and Kiryat Shmona:

*According to Hezbollah sources this morning, they fired Fadi 1 and Fadi 2 missiles at the Ramat David AFB. The Fadi 1 missile has a diameter of 220 mm and a range of 80 km. The Fadi 2 missile has a diameter of 302 mm, with a range of 105 km. Most experts say that the missiles are not particularly accurate.

Hezbollah further stated that “we hit the base and the airport in Ramat David with dozens of Fadi 1 and Fadi 2 missiles.” The IDF spokesman said that in fact only 10 launches were detected.

*The death toll in the attack attributed to Israel in Dahiya in Beirut on Friday rose to 45. There are still many missing people under the rubble. Who knows how many Hezbollah terrorists were actually killed?

UPDATE 10:00 AM ISRAEL TIME

The IAF in 4 large waves of strikes has destroyed hundreds of launchers and 8000 ready- to- be- launched Hezbollah rockets since 6 pm yesterday.

The Rambam Hospital Spokesperson said this morning (Sunday):5 victims from the rocket barrages this morning across the north were brought to the Rambam shock room: 4 injured from the Kiryat Bialik accident who were hit by a direct missile hit at home (ages 77, 76, and 16), a man about 57 years old.”

THE IDF SPOKESMAN AT 7:45 AM:

“Following the alerts that were activated at 6:24-6:32 and at 6:52-7:00 in several areas in the north of the country, about 85 launches were detected that crossed the territory of Lebanon, some of them were intercepted, and crashes were detected in the area of Kiryat Bialik, Tzur Shalom and Moroshet. Firefighters are now working to put out several fires that have developed in the area. Following the alerts that were activated at 4:48 and 5:10 in the Jezreel Valley area, about 20 missiles were detected that crossed Lebanese territory, most of them were intercepted and the rest fell in open areas, there were no casualties.”

The direct hit in Moreshet:

THE IDF SPOKESMAN AT 8:15 AM

“The IDF is now (Sunday) attacking targets of Hezbollah in Lebanon. In recent hours, the Air Force has intercepted aerial threats and launches carried out by Hezbollah towards civilian spaces in the north of the country. The defense formations of the IDF are deployed in the area and are in high readiness to thwart the shooting. IDF strikes will continue and intensify against Hezbollah.”

Thus far, miraculously or as a tribute to Israel’s air defenses, there have been no fatalities amidst the 100+ Hezbollah missiles fired this morning. The only fatalities have been 25 cows that were killed when a missile hit their cowshed. Already, the social media is producing posts like this:

That’s Hezbollah Chief of Operations Ibrahim Akil who was killed in Beirut a few days ago on the left, and an anonymous cow on the right supposedly killed by Hezbollah today. Next we will see posts of Hezbollah head Hassan Nasrallah in his cowboy hat again–as he appeared when Hezbollah missiles hit a chicken coop killing chickens last month.

UPDATE 7:00 AM ISRAEL TIME

A sense of what is happening:

At 1:09 am this morning Hezbollah targeted the area around the Ramat David AFB which is about 20 km southeast of Haifa near the Jezreel Valley with long range Fadi 1 and Fadi 2 missiles apparently fired from its underground firing facility:

At 5:10 am this morning, the same area was hit again:

At 6:31 am this morning, the same area was hit again, and also north of Haifa:

At 6:52 am this morning around the Kineret (Sea of Galilee):

Most of the missiles have been intercepted, but not all. Several hit Kiryat Bialik this morning:

In the Jezreel Valley early this morning in the area of the Ramat David AFB:

Hezbollah issued this statement this morning:

“In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their brave and honorable resistance, on Sunday 9/22/2024, the Islamic resistance attacked the Ramat David base and the airport with dozens of Fadi 1 and Fadi 2 missiles, b. A response to the repeated Israeli attacks aimed at various areas in Lebanon, which led to the fall of many civilian victims.”

Oddly, Hezbollah did not mention the pager attack, the radio attack, or even the elimination of the entire Radwan leadership in Beirut. Instead it fell back on the bogus claim of “many civilian deaths” and its hailing of the “brave and honorable resistance” of the Palestinians to justify its attacks.

Meanwhile, the IDF Spokesman said that Israel had struck some 400 targets in southern Lebanon yesterday and last night:

IDF spokesman at 10:30 pm last night:

About 290 targets were attacked in the last day, including launchers and thousands of cannons alongside other military infrastructure: the IDF has completed another series of attacks in southern Lebanon.

During the last few hours, the IDF attacked in another sequence of attacks about 110 targets of the terrorist organization Hezbollah, including launchers and military infrastructure in several areas in southern Lebanon.

The IDF continues to damage and degrade the terrorist capabilities and military infrastructure of the terrorist organization Hezbollah.

One of the IAF strikes last night hit a weapons warehouse:

On the Ground in Gaza

The IDF announced that the two smiling scumbags you see in the photo above were eliminated by the IDF. They were the ones who had been holding the six hostages in the tunnel before shooting them all in the back of the head.
