UPDATE 7:00 PM ISRAEL TIME

On the Ground in the North

*Hezbollah missile attacks so far today:

17:18 Meta Asher; 17:10 Ya’aron; 17:03 Yefatah; 13:54 Manara; 13:02 Kiryat Shmona; 12:51 Margaliot; 10:35 Kadita; 9:08 Sasa, upper Galilee; 07:56 Manara; 07:51 Kfar Giladi; 06:37 Ptolemy Elazar.

Approximately 50 missiles and drones have been fired by Hezbollah into northern Israel today. As you may notice from previous blogs, the number of these launches seems to be decreasing. This may be wishful thinking, but it is possible that Hezbollah’s repository of weapons may be dwindling.

*In Syria yesterday, the IDF killed senior Hizbullah leader Haitham al-Tabatbai, the commander of the Radwan force in Syria and Yemen.

On the Ground in Gaza

From the IDF Spokesman today:

“IDF troops continue to operate in the Rafah area and have located hundreds of weapons, including mortars, RPG missiles, explosives, AK-47s, and more, eliminated terrorists, and dismantled terrorist infrastructure sites over the past day.

Additionally, over the past day, IDF troops in the area of Jabaliya eliminated dozens of terrorists during close-quarters encounters and aerial strikes and dismantled terrorist infrastructure sites.

In central Gaza, IDF troops continue their operational activity and have dismantled terrorist infrastructure sites and eliminated terrorists in the area.

Why OneIsrael Voted For Donald Trump Today

We certainly do not like former President Trump’s narcissistic personality nor his constant ad hominem attacks against his opponents. On the other hand, we certainly do appreciate the flow of arms that President Biden has sent to Israel that has enabled us to carry on the wars with Hamas and Hezbollah–and respond to Iran.

Having said this, we cannot forget four years of misguided Biden moves that have demeaned Israel and put Israel at risk*:

*When Biden/Harris came into office, they immediately destroyed the momentum of Trump’s Abraham Accords–refusing to even call them the “Abraham Accords” anymore. Whatever regional alliance encompassing Israel that was being built was shattered all for the petty reason that Biden did not want Trump to receive credit.

*When Biden/Harris came into office, they immediately removed the Iranian-proxy Houthis in Yemen from the terrorist list. We can all see what happened.

*When Biden/Harris came into office, they immediately worked to remove Trump sanctions against Iran, thereby providing Iran and its proxies billions of dollars to spend on building up weapons arsenals to use against Israel. We can all see what happened.

*When Biden/Harris came into office, they immediately renewed payments to the PLO in Ramallah, UNRWA, and even moved quickly to rejoin the egregiously anti-Israel UN Human Rights Council.

*When Biden/Harris came into office, they immediately put Israeli PM Netanyahu on the “persona non grata” blacklist for nine months–refusing to invite him to Washington. Even as recently as this year, we still had Harris snubbing Netanyahu when he came to speak to the U.S. Congress.

*When Biden/Harris came into office, they immediately coupled their blacklisting of PM Netanyahu with support for the anti-Netanyahu groups in Israel concerning every conceivable movement such as judicial reform. They actively supported and courted opposition leaders such as Benny Gantz and Yair Lapid. The net effect of this was to further undercut Israeli democracy and divide Israeli society.

*The Gaza war against Hamas has been the scene of an unending absurd series of attempts by Biden/Harris to restrain Israel by insisting on “humanitarian” gestures, threatening and enacting weapons embargoes, and sending endless Bidenites to Israel to tell us what we can and cannot do. All of these have had the effect of putting our soldiers at risk. Just yesterday, we had the unseemly spectacle of Secretary of State Blinken once again here in Israel–in the midst of two wars–bewailing the lack of “humanitarian” aid in Gaza.

Against all of this we can place just a few examples of how President Trump acted for Israel during his term of office:

*he moved the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

*he recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

*he, as we already noted, acted to form a regional alliance including Israel.

*he immediately acted to remove the U.S. from the JCPOA Iranian nuclear weapons appeasement deal.

When we take all of these factors into consideration [in addition to a multitude of factors concerning U.S. domestic issues], there is no doubt whom we should vote for. As Herb Keinon has noted, we have gone “from the Abraham Accords” under Trump to “the brink of regional war” under Biden/Harris.

*Thanks to Herb Keinon of the Jerusalem Post for elements of the above.
